So, whether this thread or the others talking about 1-2 grind, I see lots of talk about clutch, clutch lines, etc. A few mention marginal improvement with Redline D4 ATF.
Any consideration to the possibility that the ATF is thinning out too much under extreme conditions, thus the reason Redline D4 is marginally better? I used 50% MTL after much research. It is only the slightest bit harder to shift when cold, and it is great when warm. Quieter too. See here for a summary of my research: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=374798 Point here, the ATF was selected by Tremec for a number of reasons, including cost, availability to the dealers, and to minimize complaints during cold conditions from the majority of customers. For you folks in the minority running hard under track conditions, you might want to consider doing a change out to MTL. Based on my experience using 50% MTL/D4 for my street car, I would definitely do 100% MTL for the track, especially on the west coast. See this document from Redline, in particular the info about tracking the car under "Directions for Use:" http://www.redlineoil.com/content/fi...ech%20Info.pdf |

I replaced the engine oil, filter, tranny and rear end fluid on my 2013 1LE after the first 1600 miles. The tranny fluid was dark in color and smelled a little burnt. It made a huge difference in how smooth rowing thru the gears was, absolutely no grind or rejection when shifting up or down. I also did it again at 5000 miles.

In this opposite thread if you do suggest common sense , taking responsibility, paying for your mistakes and not acting like spoiled teenager you are a "idiot".
