FYI, I've had a fee cars around here (IC) now running 93 available at only ONE known source here with good results. It's only a few cents higher than everything else, but a buck or two more per fill up seems a small price to pay for peace of mind and better performance?

Hey, Hey Hey: There is going to be an "all Camaro" show in the Kansas City area on Aug 20th, 2011 that has been a great show in the past. I think they had over 150 Camaro's last year, and are expecting more this year.

We are putting together a cruise to the show, leaving Des Moines about 6:00-6:15AM on Saturday. We will be meeting at the BP Amoco station located at 11408 Forest Ave, Clive, Iowa (this is about 3 blocks East of I-35 off University Ave, in Clive).

The actual location for the show is: Red X Store, 2401-Northwest Platte Road, Riverside, MO 64150.

You can register for the show at www.camaroclubkc.com by July 31st for $20.00 which included a goodie bag and a T-shirt. They show two classes for 2010-2012 Camaro's: Stock and Modified

Hey guys, thread revival, okay not really but it had been dead for awhile. What is everyone up to these days. I see the only event coming up is the cruise to KC in the 20th. Any other events? Maybe we could schedule a Camaro5 meeting some where in the near future. We could meet up someplace that has a decent sized lot and food or maybe a state park and do a massive cook-out. I don't know, just a thought. Would anyone be interested in trying to organize this?

anyone gonna be at speedway today ? went ladt night they had a transformer show car in the chevy display man that car is not right for some readon you look at wheels closely they are caps ! then they had tape over the console guages and the wipers looked phoney and a whole bunch more stuff didnt look right but i like the color yellow that is on that car kinda goldish yellow !well everone have a good day !

Hey Tim,

Sorry you are not be able to make it to the show. I have been about four times, but never with my own camaro. We have a Mid-Iowa Camaro Club member that has two very nice Camaro's, but he is legally blind, so I normally drove one of his cars to the show. I found this year he found a back up driver, so I finally get to take my own !!!!! This show is normally this time of year, and they have been having it at a park near the river, but due to flooding this year, they have moved it to a commercial parking lot nearby. I will try to shoot some pictures, but posting may be an issue.

there also a show called sweetcorn fest going on in adel a bunch of local car guys are meeting at lows in altoona to at 900 in the morning to head there its just a car gathering though no awards or anything ! im going with them gotta have a 5 th gen showin !

hey all ive got an idea to run by everyone i talked to the owners of 5 and diner in pleasanthill they woul have no problem with us having a camaro get together there at the resteraunt i just need to get an idea of interested particapents and how many cars we just had 110 cars there last tues for the weekly car gathering ! so if interested please let me know we need to also try and figure out a date and time frame please let me know and also we could make this an invite for all gens or just the 5 th gen the owner of the resteraunt has a killer 69 well let me know what you all think ?

I went to GoodGuys in Joliet today. All years American made or powered cars and trucks were allowed to enter today. I saw five Gen 5s. Only me and 1 other Gen 5 ran the autocross. I thought there would be more of us but I know there were alot of shows this weekend. Did a couple laps on Chicagoland Speedway.And they let us race a little. The Camaro handled great on the speedway. I got up to 85. Been a busy summer, hope to meet some of you soon. Oh yeah, I beat the other Gen 5 in the autocross action !!
