While I can agree with that to some extent, as in dont run off on wild tangents, but I also think its valid to state ones opinion based on the information that is currently available.

If GM observes the majority of folks are not digging a crazy tall wing spoiler, stripes that are way off center, etc then that provides some decent feedback on what direction to not go in with future products. Even if in this case GM had nothing to do with the design. It also gives feedback to the production company that maybe they are making an unpopular choice with their design options... It's totally up to them if they want to do anything about it or not, its just a data point and possibly not a large enough one to make a change. I don't see the point however in trying to sugar coat one's response on this site just to appease GM, the movie company or anyone else.

I say "calm down guys until you see the car in person" - - and I say that because of the uproar everytime some new part of the Camaro was discovered during 5th gen development. If you go back to the very beginnings of Camaro5, you'll laugh (or cry) when you read what some people said about the car ........

The SS bumper versus the V6? Lots of people were going to remove the SS bumper and put on the V6 bumper "...because the front bumper of the SS looks (insert insult here) !!!" ........

..OK - how many people actually DID remove the SS bumper and put on a V6 bumper????

(didn'thappen.com)

IN FACT -- some of the very people who catterwauled the loudest are now the ones telling me that the car is the best looking car they've ever seen............it's simply human nature, I guess.......

As to any changes on the Camaro? You can be assured that many people will be asked their opinions - starting with "The 12 disciples of which there are 15" -- because we will continue to get enthusiast feedback. We started to do this toward the end of the 4th gen and we did it all thru 5th gen development. In fact, I'd challenge any auto manufacturer to prove that they get more enthusiast input than we do.

Talking to our enthusiasts is simply the right thing to do. (but I'll STILL tell people to 'calm down!') (and you are right in that passions run high with a car as celebrated as Camaro)

Now - that said: I've learned a couple of things over the past 33 years...and one of them is to take comments like I'm reading on this thread with a grain of salt.......FOR NOW. Any change is a shock - and as the new Bumblebee becomes more familiar, you might be surprised as to how opinions change.

I'll never forget when the 2nd Gen Camaros came out.

You either loved it or you wanted to blow up the GM building on Grand Blvd.............and unfortunately there was a LOT of controversy. Yet the 2nd gen Camaro turned out to be the most popular Camaro of all time. (go look at the numbers!)

Soooooo - all I'm saying is: OK to say 'I don't like it' -- but keep an open mind --

The vented rear fender and wheels are awesome. The rest is just horrible looking ....and such a downer from T2. The front fascia is no near near as mean and clean as T1 or T2 and anyone that thinks putting stripes on the car top is nice looking....is LOCO!

I keep coming back to look at it, and I just don't understand why they kept concept parts on a production model. Those concept mirrors and fake door handles just look goofy.

And I still am not a fan of the wing/ stripes.

Maybe I'll check back in a month

That BB Camaro looks wierd. The one that I recall seeing was a lot different. It had the fender badge, but no f'd up wing. I can't remember if it had the back stripes or not, it did have 'transformers' on the hood though.

It was a nice car. The one is this thread is not.

After some digestion I thought it probably is better in person. After some VERY crude work in paint I thought it was actually not bad at all. 86 the rivets, stripes and driving lights and added a little opening in the hood colored the GFX. I’m sure there are members that can do a much better job then I did, but here it is.
Its the jay leno camaro, or one like it. Might be a v6.
