Look again there is a divider between the top and bottom of the side openings under that bra...clearly outlined..top looks like fog lights and bottom probably brake ducts,.plus the lower grill has a much larger and deeper inlet.

BTW, it has Ti-VCT, not vtec. Saying it has or will get vtec is like calling dodge's hemi engines as 'LSX's' when they have no real connection to each other.

Nobody cares about the silly trade and marketing terms attached to the variable valve timing mechanisms. There aren't many significant differences between any of the modern VVT systems (at least the ones that work). Anyone who thinks Ford would have VVT if Honda didn't is fooling himself. It is VTEC, regardless of the changes and refinements and attempts to mask Honda technology. There has been VVT varations since the 1920s, but the successful modern rendition widely used appeared on Honda CBR motorcycles in the 1980s, appears in several European and Japanese cars now, and a copycat rendition with refinements appears in the Ford engines today. The idea of using modern electronics to control VVT is a Japanese development. Get over it.

you correctly state it as VVT many times in your own post. Vtec has nothing to do with anything unless you are talking about Honda's. VVT does not equal Vtec.
