Really? Well, that splitter certainly is not to my liking, but who cares. The BOSS is back and that is a good thing. Very cool car.

No the one with the red wheels and the huge front splitter is the Laguna Seca Edition which is not the same as the regular street version.

Just a little bit from the article...about the Laguna Seca Edition. It is a street version.

Quote:
Ford Mustang team members developed the package to provide weekend racers with a factory track car that could be driven to the course, take the win, then driven back home again
Quote:
“The Laguna Seca front splitter is really a Ford Racing piece we’ve lightly adapted for our purposes,” explains Pericak. “It’s been tested and refined for the last six months on the Boss 302R to perform exactly as required on the track; we just made a few changes so it could be adapted to the production Boss – though owners will still want to avoid speed bumps and parking blocks.”

They are showing two versions of the Boss. The orange and black version is the standard boss that most will buy. The red and black one is the Laguna Seca version which CAN be driven on the street but is really made for the track.

there is also talk of a "red key" which loads the race program for alot more hp like the 302R motor. Jay Leno started to talk about it but stopped by the ford rep guy..lol

Yep I have heard that. Rumor has been floating around that the Laguna Seca version has something special that has not been revealed yet. Many believe it will be what you are talking about. Red key that raises the rev limiter to 8200rpm.

Ford always has tons of variations of Ford Mustang. I don't mind, they usually bring a different look and performance to the table, but man there are a lot out there.

Here's what comes off the top of my head (Just since 2000)

Mustang
Mustang GT
Mustang California Special
Mustang Shelby GT
Mustang GT Bullitt edition
Mustang Mach 1
Mustang Cobra
Mustang Cobra R
Mustang GT500
Mustang GT500 KR
Mustang Saleen (different stages)
Mustang Roush (different stages)
Mustang Boss

I realize those aren't all Ford products, but are widely associated with Ford, and Can be bought on Authorized Dealerships (that sell Ford)

what did I miss?
