Although not necessary, is there any downside to pulling the #5 and 20 fuses to initiate the learning period for the new intake?

From my understanding is that the V6 (E38/E69) ECU does not require the fuse pull. It will do no good. It constantly updates the fuel tables to run what ever fuel you choose. I may be wrong on the why but I am certain the fuse pull does not help the V6.

I did ask the question about water injestion before making my decision. I was told it is not a problem with this intake. Now to find two people say they had water by the filter makes me nervous. I will give a few rainy days and test out. Just need to know what the return policy is as well rain will not be around for about a week or so. Go Figure....

I've already drove through two wicked thunderstorms at high speeds and NO PROBLEMS! I asked this question a while back too.

So it doesn't sound like it helps, but is there a downside to doing it? It would essentially force your computer to start learning with no prior data before the Vararam, kind of like cleaning your cache from surfing pr0n?

Yes you are correct. It would wipe the memory clean and you would have an open slate. The only difference between clearing your pr0n memory and the ecu is you won't get any possible lingering virus'.

What is the preorder price again? I'm too lazy to read back through 15 or 20 pages of posts.
