Rick,

What size rims and tires are you running on your chevelle ??

I am going to buy some larger wheels and white letter tires for my 69 Camaro. I want to get a beefier look to the car. Just curious what your are running.

Thanks
John
I'm running the stock 14x7 SS wheels with F70-14 bias belted tires. You may want to look into some 15X7 wheels with P235/60R15 tires. Check online for fitment, but I've seen these on some '69 Z's.

Accomplished quite a lot at work today, probably because I wasn't interrupted. We're readying for another rain making system moving through here that could cause some flooding tomorrow. Could be interesting.

Rick, thanks for the info on the rim and tire sizes. I am looking for that stock z28 look.

Thanks
John

Good morning. Well the early morning workout did not happen. For some reason I could not get to sleep last night. I need my sleep. I'll try again tomorrow. Now I need coffee! HAGD

We have color shift halos!!!! I was beginning to doubt my ability to install these but I got the wires into the passenger compartment tonight. Gave Ofer a call to ask wiring questions and hooked it up for a test. Tomorrow I will hide the controller and make the permanent connections and hopefully get the car back together. I think I am really going to like these.Name: uploadfromtaptalk1409100459636.jpg

Way to go Zandron!

Just another average day at work today. I have some work to do but not too bad. I did hall walking today at work but that is all I have managed to get in for exercise so far today. Maybe I can get in a few squats, calf raises, leg lifts & such before I get into bed.

Very cool Zandron!

My son's Cavalier didn't quite last him a full year. Seems he cooked the engine while continuing to drive it with a temp gauge showing hot and a red indicator light on. The engine kept running until it shut itself off, and as he pulled over to the side of the road, steam rose from the engine and it puked coolant on the ground. I haven't seen the Cavalier yet, as it had it towed to a damn tow yard!

He has been told he is buying the next car, and he certainly understands why.

Well live & learn especially when you have to invest your own money if possible. Glad your making him buy his own this time.

Kids! Sometimes they have to learn things the hard way. I know that is frustrating but the tough love is the right thing to do. Too many folks don't get that these days. If you protect them from the consequences of their actions they just don't learn those lessons.

Well I could not drag my butt out of the bed again this morning to go out & exercise. I did not get to bed early enough. I still set the alarm to see if I felt like getting up but I just can't function on that little sleep. There are just not enough hours in the day with my new job site taking more of my time. I will just have to keep doing what I can to stay active & eat well in the daytime and on the occasion I can get to bed early maybe I can get up & exercise. I am starting to feel somewhat depressed with the situation. I am so isolated at work now. I hate that.

Mike & I plan to head over to a little local car show they have trying to get going in our town. This will be attempt #3 for them as each time something has messed it up. Last one was rained out. I will just have to detail Ruby when we get there as I did not get time again last evening. Maybe it will work this time & will be fun. I need some fun. Now I need COFFEE!!!!

Looks great! Are you adding any LED strips to light up the grill area? Now that it's all apart would be the time, and the strips are very inexpensive, but add a really nice look. This is the look hubby wanted, Matts ZL1, he switched the halos to the Nite Owl system, and I love the LEDs in the grill.

Not right now I had enough challenges with this and I don't have the strips and I need to get the car back together for a show on Sat. I will be pulling the front off again at some point for a heritage grill so I can do it then. Might be a good winter project when I can take my time since we don't drive it.

The smashed radiator support and the plant branch hanging down from the right front suspension told the story. One 1996 Cavalier totaled.

Sorry to hear. Hope he is unhurt though (assume so as you did not mention any injuries). Sounds like more than an engine overheated. It seems like most young folks have to have some sort of accident early on to get it how fast & easily it can happen. Hopefully lesson learned.

<< You'd think being the Son of a CAR guy he'd know better? But we all know the mind of a Youngen just don't work on all cylinders. Kind of like speeding and using more gas so you can get to the gas station faster when you’re on empty.
