Dude it was insane. Great cars great drivers the squirrel kept up and handled really well. Everyone was really impressed with car. I went through five gallons of methanol. Some of the roads were absolutely insane. Hitting run off from melting snow on a mountain road with no guardrails will certainly wake you up. I need to get those hood vents, my aerodynamics were certainly the cars biggest disadvantage.

Link to said vents.....?

Might make my tig welding obsolete on these spare hoods that I was working on.

Yup those are them already ordered and desperately needed. They have rain trays, there's even a video on the site of someone poo ring a whole bottle of water in them. The heat reduction is great but also there should be significant reductions in lift.

Those vents and an under tray are all you need.

Since no one asked. Spare hoods you've been working on? Any pics?

Basically I have a pair of "spare" hoods that I was hoping to make "Leno" hoods out of....

In process of working the metal to get the smooth transitions but now that I started another M - F, time isn't what it used to be.

I'll post up some stuff soon!

Top speed is a stupid thing to do IMHO. one pothole or squirrel (no pun intended) in the road and your toast.... Car seems pretty stable at about 140, after that gets you some white knuckles.
Eh to each their own. I certainly don't recommend it without a lot of experience and support.
