Last summer made an offer on a dream car of mine, offer rejected because they received a higher offer. So I just forgot about it because I set my price and that was that. Then last week had a dream I was driving a yellow 1966 T-Bird convertible. Strange but true...next day dealership called me and said the yellow Bird was back on the market because deal fell through. Dealership said owner might consider my previous offer from last July. After many emails and phone conversations last week, deal agreed. Of course I am paying about $1000 more than I wanted, still made a good purchase and my dream became a reality today when I sent full payment and sale contract documents. The yellow Bird will be shipped to me and hopefully arrive before first snowfall so I can put it in winter storage (LOL). Now have to sell my beloved 1998 Riviera fast as I only have two underground parking spaces. Hate selling the Riviera but I only have two parking spaces and three cars.

The 1966 Thunderbird will bring back memories because at age 15 talked my Dad into buying a new 1966 Bird when he wanted a new 1966 Mustang.

I must be crazy spending big bucks on an auto I will only drive summer months. Yes, scared that I have much to learn about taking care of the Bird as I am not a gear head. But looking foreword to the challenge. Do not hate me because I am brand confused, keeping my Camaro and adding a Ford, and selling the Riviera.

Here is a video of my new but very old yellow 1966 T-Bird convertible that hopefully will be delivered in the next 4 weeks:

Congrats abaucom21! Very nice car! Happy for you. I know it will be had to sell the Rivera but what a nice problem to have.....................too many nice cars. Any chance you could rent a storage space to put it in or fins another place to store it. The place I got my tune done stores/maintains people's classic/muscle cars for a fee. But even if you must sell, you will still be left with a really nice collection of cars.

I had a rather busy day but managed to get all my notes except the last one done. That even includes 2 case openings which entail a good bit more documentation. I'm rather impressed with myself. It was drizzly/rainy all day and will continue overnight but supposed to clear up tomorrow. Have a good evening everyone.

Back up plan is to find someplace to store the 1998 Riviera if I can not sell in the next 4 weeks. It is a low mileage Southern salt free virgin and do not intend to have it test driven during the winter. 8th and last gen Riviera's were low production autos, less then 11,000 produced in 1998, mine is only 1 of 3 produced in same color and options in 1998.

Good morning crew. Yeah, Rick it has rained on 11 of the first 16 days of this month here. Supposed to be clearing up today though & a perfect day is on tap for our Cruise on Sat. Last day this week of driving in the nasty Nashville traffic. You'd think it was ice instead of water on the roads the way folks have been driving lately. I need my coffee now. Have a good day everyone.

Many of us have other vehicles besides Camaros.

Got SLAMMED at work yesterday and still trying to catch up before vacation. Doing some OT tonight, but my laptop is next to me and on this thread.

Well another busy day, just finished my notes. Now a few minutes to relax before crashing. But not many, I'm tired again.

Jan and Rick - I don't know how you two manage to keep working that late on anything resembling a regular basis (Rick, I know there's a time difference).

I've worked late a few times during refueling outages and under truly unusual circumstances such as those requiring immediate attention or a plant would have been required to shut down (forced shutdowns representing about a $1M/day swing for the power company between making their own power and having to buy it, so there was a lot of pressure for quick resolution of whatever came up). Even though successfully getting through those times was at least psychologically rewarding, I'm not missing not having to go through them any more.

Got off early, cleaned Ruby up a bit & got everything ready for tomorrow's cruise to Shiloh Battleground. It is going to be a beautiful day for a cruise. Turning in early. Have a good weekend crew.
