Yeah, there has been A LOT of talk in there and the AutoX thread about helmets. If you are going to run AutoX you will need a SA2005 or SA2010 rated helmet. Knowing the weather there, if you are going to be driving you might want to consider bringing a change or two of clothes, because it WILL be HOT and HUMID.

Just a recommendation on helmets, if you are looking a purchasing a new helmet, one thing to consider is that most sanctioned racing organizations only allow helmets from the last two approval years. Which currently both SFI and SA are 2005 and 2010; these are pretty much done in 5 year increments. So basically what I am saying is a SA2005 or SFI2005 will likely be obsolete in 2015 while a SA2010 or SFI2010 helmet will likely not be obsolete until 2020. I just figured I would through this out there because you will probably find that the 2005 approved helmets cost considerably less and this is why.

Will it be as hot as Phoenix, cause damn that was a little ridiculous last year. Maybe we should bring a kiddie pool and set it up in the spot where ever we'll be?

The temps will be 85-95 degrees with 85-95% humidity. For those that are use to this dry heat, the humidity is what kills you. That is why I suggest a change of shirts at least at the track and a towel to dry off. And unlike here there is not a big cool off at night, about 5 degrees or so.
