Okay it is a chalk figurine that were prizes at carnivals way back when. They are considered collectable antiques. They are very fragile & this one is not in good shape as the paint is worn but it is still cherished.
Well, it is back to work this morning and to my first day of a new exercise class after work. Coffee time!

Man! I am wiped out! The class was killer. But I need it. I'm going to get myself back on track but it is NOT going to be easy. Ruby out.

Good morning. The soreness has not set in yet but for sure it is coming. I am happy to be back in the swing of working out and look forward to getting this weight back off me. The driver weight loss mod is the best!
My niece fell yesterday in her bathroom & badly broke her elbow. She was taken to the local hospital (which is a pretty big one) and they said they could not help her due to the severity of the break. She was transferred to Vanderbilt & will have to have plates & screws surgically implanted today to fix it. She is worried as she has no sick leave though she has worked for Kroger for many years and her insurance will pay very poorly toward the cost. She fears she will end up losing the little house she bought which is old & just unexpectedly had to have expensive repairs she had to get a loan for. It just never stops. My dad was found in his room having filled the sink with water & put his electric razor in it (I don't think it was plugged up but not sure). They want us to take the lamp & other stuff out of his room. We had already talked about taking some stuff out as he is falling frequently & is doing odd things like breaking picture frames & eating puzzle pieces. We had already removed some stuff but now more has to go. Just sad. Have a good day everyone.

THE BLIZZARD OF 2015 - Juno
Wind gusts hit around 70 mph! Still gusting in the 40 mph range and 24 degrees. My hubby went out like every hour to clean around the doorways, I don't think he slept at all. Sorta freaks out during really bad storms. Won't be over till tomorrow 9 - 10 am or so. Huge snow drifts! Crazy, but some spots have no snow and other spots the drifts are five feet high and really wide. They just showed a pic somebody sent into the local news - the guy opened his front door to look outside and the drift was above the door. You could see the imprint of the door, lucky it didn't collapse right into the house. |

My work here in LA is done. Sitting at LAX now waiting for my flight. The weather was real nice here too. Glad I am not flying back to Maryland like my coworkers are.

Stay safe in the blizzard Normagene & anyone else impacted.
I returned to my Nashville office to find it in a terrible mess. The girl who is taking my place on Mon, Wed & Fri, had let the kids play with all my expensive therapy games and all at the same time & they were torn up, mixed up and a total wreck. I spent all my spare time taping up boxes & game boards, putting game pieces back into the appropriate boxes & then putting them up on a higher shelf. I can't believe she let the kids do that. She has already quit. Clearly a good decision as no way is she cut out for this work. I hope she does not have any kids & if she does that I don't end up having to deal with them. I think she may have let them mess with my therapy books too as some covers looked tattered but I just could not bring myself to look at them to see if pages were torn.

The Big Dig......continues. Well a few snowflakes still falling, but the good news I SEE STREAKS OF BLUE IN THE SKY!!!
Looks like the storm is out to sea and we should get us some sunshine today.! This will be hubby's Third Time clearing the long driveway with the snowblower. I'd say about another five or sixes inches FELL overnight. Grand Total for my area: Gotta be somewhere around 30 INCHES. At least it's super powdery with no weight. Had it been wet heavy snow we woulda lost power for sure. Lots of folks did, and temps dropped into the single digits last nite. |

We were not really affected by this winter storm for a change. I have had more than my fair share of it this winter. The weatherman said lake Erie is 93% frozen so we are done with lake effect snow. Now it will just be general snow which is usually not as bad.
I saw the Neurosurgeon today and told him I want the Microvascular Decompression surgery today. Pending insurance company approval it will be done on March 17th so I will be off-line for a few days then until I get out of the hospital. They explained everything that will happen and gave me a DVD showing him doing the procedure along with patients testimonials and I am comfortable with the procedure now.

I hope all will go well with the procedure Zandron. I am glad you feel comfortable with the procedure. That will go a long way toward a positive outcome. I know it is still anxiety inducing but keep positive thoughts.
The training was not too bad today. We got to leave early to I made it to my exercise class just a bit late. After class I did some spring/walk around the track then came home. Now I am really sore but that's okay. I need to get this weight back off me. I need to turn in early. Really feeling spent.

Be safe everyone who got dumped on. It was 79* here today.
Starting to get crowded here. Super Bowl Mania is in full swing here in the valley. The Waste Management Golf tournament is going on too.
