Heck yeah my SS will be my daily driver! I made the switch from an '05 V6 Mustang that was extremely suped up and was getting about the same gas mileage so I'm not going to be suffering at all

I don't see how it will be possible to separate me from my Camaro once it comes in haha...I don't think I'll ever want to do anything else (unless it somehow involves going somewhere in my Camaro )

Yes for me. But I live in SoCal so I can drive it year round. In a cold weather climate, it would be a totally different story.

April through October, I'll be diving it daily to work ( probably leave early every day ) When the Ohio winter moves in, she goes in the garage and I'll be driving the Mountaineer <<<<<I know its a Ford, but who cares if ya bang up a Ford, aint that why they build em ?

I will not be ordering until November based on how long its taking for orders to be fulfilled, probably will not take delivery until February 2010. I will drive it home and park it into the garage until spring. I will be driving it for everything during the summer, but will park it in a garage in the winter. I live 1/2 mile from work, so I can walk in the winter.

Hell yes I'll be using my SS as a DD. Luckily I live 2.7 miles from work, so I doubt I'll be taking any bigger hit in gas than I currently do in my '99 LS1 Trans Am.

Of course it will be my daily driver!!! It's beautiful to look at but the ultimate experience is enjoying the ride every day. Counting down the days till it arrives.....

That's the best part about living in SoCal; you can get away driving a RWD car year round without really having to think about it. At this point there's no way I wouldn't buy an SS. Just a matter of timing and finances right now.

Fair weather "daily-driver".

Chance of hail or snow which we rarely get, she stays in.

Cant really afford to spend $38k and have it sit in the garage - and luckily the weather down here is very easy on cars.

And.... It makes every trip - no matter how mundane - a lot more fun. Ultimately the measure of a car for me is how much joy it brings to me and my family and I tend to hand onto cars for a long time. I'm 48 now and have only owned 5 cars...

My first was a VW beetle which I got when I was 21 and which lasted until I was married and our first child was born.

My second was Rover 216i which covered me through 2nd child and next 8 years of marriage

Number 3 was a Rover 620 - which took care of picking up number 3 kid from hospital and was sold when we moved to US

Number 4 was my faithful '94 Z28 - bought when we came to US in 2000 and still sitting in the driveway as my "backup camaro" and for my 2 eldest kids

Number 5 is my 5th gen - which, unless I am sorely tempted by a Z28 will be with me for at least the next 10 years ...

My cars got a lot more interesting when I came to the US - and I feel like I am living out fantasies from when I was 16
