There are some Very Cool boost controllers out there. I believe that one called the e-boost will control boost by gear too. It allows you to have the boost set lower through first and second, then turn it up in third and then put the coals to it in fourth or however you want to set it. If I were to set up a turbo, I'd use this! It's reasonably priced, especially for the features that it's got. I have no affiliation with them, just passing on some info.
Here's some info on it: TurboSmart Eboost2.................. |

I am a big fan of the HKS EVC6. I have used it in so many cars and it works right every time.
We will be installing one in a car that is sitting here and will show you guys all about it. |

HKS EVC, and Blitz work well, Justin- Have you tried the new EBC from ARK Design yet? They work great and you can put them anywhere.

Hey everyone.... I am new to Camaro5, and just subscribed to this thread. I just got my new Camaro and am definitely going to be going this route. I have read all the 14 pages of this thread lmao and appreciate every bit of it.
As someone recently said earlier, I am going to wait until my 3 year warranty expires before going through with this mod. A couple of questions though, and forgive my ignorance because I am just getting into engines, but what affect does this have on it being street legal? This is the only car I have and have to make sure that it can get me back and forth to work legally. Also, this may be better for a different thread but I am sure someone here can help, I am looking to start with an exhaust as was recommended, but don't know which is a good way to go. (Again new to working with cars.) I have been looking at Loudmouth but any recommendation/reasons to go any other way? |

First of all welcome. Secondly, the impact on the car being street legal goes one of two ways:
A) The state of Virginia has rules about aftermarket mods which forces the company to have a specific certification to sell the part as street legal. or B) The state doesn't enforce rules regarding aftermarket parts and the kit is street legal without any certification. In California, every aftermarket part needs a CARB certification sticker/number in order for it to be legal to use on the street. It severely limits my options for a forced induction kit because only a few companies want to put forth the time/effort/money to get certification for their kits. Virginia might be the same. I would suggest asking your local DMV or a law enforcement officer. |

Thanks Mindz... I also have to pass inspections with whatever exhaust I go with. Any personal favorites? I was looking at Borla and Loudmouth.

I have set up sooo many boost controllers in the last 5 years or so. I have done Blitz, HKS, Greddy, Turbosmart Eboost, Apexi, and tons of others and the HKS EVC6 is the easiest to teach the customers how to use and actually uses a "Closed loop" boost control to always try to reach the boost level you set it.
The common problem I see with electronic boost controllers is that they all set the boost with a Gain and Set gain to control it. This will change and make more boost in the cold weather than it will in the hot weather. This gain is set off wastegate spring pressure. The HKS EVC6 actually sets the boost level off of psi and thats why I love it. It dials in the set boost year round and can be set up by rpm, speed, throttle, ect. Some more updated info coming on the Turbo kit that is going to be some great news!! Will explain later this week. Also, Tommy, good to see you again. Im trying to build one of these 2010 Camaros to take down that Black SS you have. haha

I did a little research what about the new HKS EVC-S? Its small design would look good mounted to the left of the steering wheel on the colored strip. Would make it real easy to see and adjust on the fly. Says its only 11 mm thick so wouldn't stick out far. Jeremy see if you can get one of those for my car. 4 days and counting before I make the trip to FL to drop of my beast. Going to be the badass in GA if anyone dares to compete. Keep up the ass kicking guys.
