Yep, I got you the first 50 times you posted that. Maybe if you post that 50 more times you might actually believe it.
I will say one thing about the hellcat and road courses are concerned. It will depend on the track which car will have a faster time. Long straights with fewer turns will most likely result in a win for the Challenger. If the GT500 had better brakes which the hellcat does, it would beat the ZL1 more often on a road course. |

That's too bad, the ZL1 is great on all tracks and have you seen the Z28? Good luck beating either one. The Camaro is the King of the track!

That may be. I've been a drag racer my entire life. I don't care what time any car will do around a road course. It's just not my cup of tea. I like dirt track racing and nascar too, but challengers, Mustangs and camaros aren't being built to compete in those arenas.

Hopefully GM can meld the best qualities of the Z28 and the ZL1 into one Camaro with 700HP for the Gen 6.

Race cars? They are factory cars with safety mods. They actually had to detune the Z/28.

I can't wait to see what the gen 6 car will be. My plan is to buy a Hellcat and then wait a few years to see what ford and Chevy do with the new platforms for a replacement for my ZL1.

There's not a car out there as they sit on the starting grid waiting to run a race that can be purchased off the show room floor as they sit. Which means I can't compare them to what I can go buy at my dealer.

Safety mods, what are you required to do if you have a sub 11 second car at most 1/4 mile tracks?

Exactly, meeting safety requirements, same with the Continental!

Did NHRA make dodge drop a cage in it when they put on drag radials for the 10.8?

The point is if you are willing to modify a Camaro, the platform is so good it will whip any other modified car you want to run against it. My car is modified, most people actually taking cars to racing venues have some modifications on them. I think the hellcat is a nice step for Dodge but I don't think they will be beating my ZL1 anywhere I race, 1/4 mile, road course or 1 mile speed event.
