I'm really glad to see this car take another step towards being ready for the track. I got to meet Pete (SSSoon) and buy his old wheel/tire setup, and he literally could not have been nicer or made the process any easier. I can't wait to see this beast dominate VIR.

Build Status
We are working with GR Chevrolet 930 Fairystone Park Highway, Stanleytown, VA 24168 and their Lead Corvette / Camaro / CTS-V Tech to resolve some latent factory calibration issues. Brian has been AWESOME. GR Chevrolet has been incredibly supportive. Add GR Chevrolet to the Good Guy list for your Camaro. Yesterday, Matt Gladd, our Lead GM Calibrator and Brian cleared up 30 some odd codes working side by side!
Today the goal is to have all codes permanently cleared. While we sort through these details, SSsoon's Camaro is taking up space in my personal garage. The things I do to take care of my friends ![]() Once we finish this phase up, SSssoon's Camaro will head over to JPSS at Mills Chrysler across the road from the Martinsville Speedway. We'll add an Accusump system so Peter will not have to manually prime the Dailey Engineering Dry Sump before starting his LS7. Peter is upgrading to Forgelines and putting on the rigt size tires MY 305/30/19s that the Camaro TEAM 'borrowed' from me. For those of you new to Camaro5, I ran 305/30/19s back in 2009 on my personal Camaro. Peter will post more details and pictures as SOON as they arrive. Peter's Camaro is scheduled for some SOON to be released suspension parts, corner weighting and alignment as SOON as they arrive. SOON is the next three weeks or so. SSsoon has been incredibly patient since we started this build. Keep in mind, our initial discussions were to rebuild his hurt SLP supercharged L99. From there we went to why not an LS7 to why not a MONSTER bad ass road course torque monster LS7 427 built by a Master NASCAR Engine Builder? Once that was decided we moved to the supporting hardware required. There have been occasionally difficult decisions for SSsoon as some daily driver comforts went away. We could have used a LS7 Vette style dry sump and retained the AC, but the Daily system pulls more vacuum leading to better lubrication and makes more power. No AC means a cool shirt. Fire safety equipment for the track means the helmet visor stays closed so Peter had his helmet modified for a ventilation system, so we have to add electrical power for the blower... Every change pushes the completion date out. We'll have this build on track at VIR SSsoon. |

I've been following this build on Facebook via Pete (JusticePete), I cannot believe how insane this thing is! Awesome car for sure.
Do you plan on being at C5 Fest this year? I'd love to see the car. Also, some people and C5 mods are trying to put together a track day the Thursday before C5 Fest, would be awesome to see this thing out there!

The CamaroCross will be at the same location as the AC is for Holley LSfest. That is great news and not so great news. Great course with cement walls The CamaroCross TEAM will do our best to design a course that allows for high speeds, HUGE SEGS, but minimal risk of visiting a cement wall. That means wee have to test out the course on Thursday with a variety of Camaro capabilities. We'll get it all figured out. |

Congrats again. Give a Heads Up if you ever head down to Sebring. Winter Time is always nice lol Dr Chin lives in the Hood here. Imho he runs a great program. Think they are there this weekend. Not trying to hijack here car is finished and on a Trailer headed home. LS7 Heads are a work of Art A Shame to cover up with the wires and stuff. Nixed new Valves Covers and Coil Relocate Kit now rethinking it. Have a great weekend.
