Well, got a call from Aaron @ GPI, should be shipping the differential out tonight or early tomorrow -- validated all is good and that the posi-mod is in good shape!
Now, I've started the prep for the new axle-back exhaust from Magnaflow (Purchased from Tyler @ JDP): ![]() Following the directions: ![]() Measured 18 3/8" from the hanger end on the passenger's side Measured 16 3/4" from the hander end on the driver's side Measured 3 times to validate and then used my Makita to cut (this is 25 years old and still on its first blade -- just awesome): ![]() And the cuts: ![]() ![]() A little filing and nice and clean cuts! Now, when the differential gets here and installed, this baby is ready! More to come... -Don Last edited by hammdo; 02-10-2015 at 05:23 PM. |

Thanks! I've really enjoyed doing this type of work again. It seems its never ending ;o)
Once I get the differential back, I'll be upgrading the exhaust (Magnaflows) for the neighbors (straight pipes wake them up @ 6:00 am ;o), Moreno Motorsports upgrade, and then I'll replace the VVT SS1 cam with the BTR Stage 1 Supercharger cam to improve the idle qualities. THEN, I have a special project I'm going to try out and see what it does. Body work will come later in order to install the ZL1 rear spoiler... Thanks for reading, I do like to 'talk' on paper so to speak ;o) -Don Last edited by hammdo; 02-11-2015 at 01:36 PM. |

Thanks, but there are so many over the years that are spectacular. I'm just greateful I'm one.
565 RWHP, 510 RWTQ stock pulleys and on 6 PSI boost. Pretty happy with that. For a DIY, I can't complain at all... It did 605 RWHP without the correction, (what it actually made on the day)... -Don Last edited by hammdo; 02-11-2015 at 10:24 PM. |

Outstanding build. I have enjoyed reading it and look forward to using some of the ideas you have done.
