Hey Walt, thanks for the love. It is hard to fork out the cash for the double din setup, but there is a small demand for it, and we do it for the people that want it. The door projectors can be put pretty much anywhere, as long as there is about 8 or more inches from the projector to the screen(ground, trunk floor, etc). The cut in the door is done in the bottom of the door panel, so its not visible unless you look under there, and can be patched if ever the need arises. I can build ones for the trunk as well. If you put them under the car, you wouldnt really be able to see them. We tried that out and it just didnt work. The door is the best bet.

do you mind me askin why this is so expensive??

i kinda suprised that i could either buy a full headers and catback exhaust system...for the same price as a dash kit.... i mean does it really take like 15+ hours of work or something??

I by no means am trying to be rude or anything just trying to understand!

Thank you for your time!!

Because they are making these one offs. There are only two in the world. Not to mention you're going to get second to none quality. It is expensive, but thats because the Camaro dash is such a PITA. Now, would I buy one? No, I could put $1800 to use in other ways and I really am satisfied with the stock system. But if you truly want this, A. Jesse is the only one who has been able to do this, and B. the price for a custom piece like this isn't really that bad. Don't blame Jesse or LTL, blame Chevy if you want.

This took a lot of effort to figure out, let alone making more. They have hours upon hours figuring all this out I am sure. If I ever get tired of the stock system and have the money I'd do it in a heartbeat!

Thanks for the support guys :-) It was quite an undertaking for sure. Im glad people understand how much work this kit was. I have over 100 hours just in PCB design! If anyone wants one, let me know!

not exactly correct:

"DIN refers to a standardized radio/stereo size for vehicles (large enough to accept a CD). 1 DIN is the standard DIN specification. 2 DIN or double DIN refers to units that are twice as high as the standard DIN, half DIN is half high as 1 DIN.
International standard ISO 7736 defines a standard size for car audio head units. The standard was originally established by the German standards body Deutsches Institut fur Normung, and is therefore commonly referred to as the "DIN car radio size". It was adopted as an international standard in 1984.
Head units generally come in either single DIN (1 DIN), which is 50 mm high; or double DIN (2 DIN), which is 100 mm high."
