Ok. I am thoroughly confused and frustrated. I see the fitment guide on the first page, but I am getting conflicting opinions and info from three different installers.
I have a 2013 2LT/RS convertible. I recently put Z28 replicas wheels on. Front is 20x9 and rear is 20x10. I put the original 245/45-20 front and 275/40-20 rear tire back on and the fit looks horrible. Rounded top edges make it look like they are stretching to fit. Wanted to switch to 275/40-20 in front and 305/35-20 rear tires, but installers are saying their data shows that is not a good fit. Suggestions?.... |

wihout taking offset into consideration and EXCLUSIVELY talking about width:
the 275 40s will fit on the front 9" wheels you are installing. The factory RS wheels are 9" wide in the rear and they use that exact size so youre good there i cannot say for sure that you can go 305 on a 10" wide wheel but that doesnt mean anything. You may have to search these forums unless you want to bew a pioneer Another mamber and i are running 335 30s in the rear on 11" wide wheels and i think we're the only ones that i know of on here. Everyone else swears 315 was the max but ive had mine on for almost a year with no issues or rubbing at all

I am running 315/35R20 on 10" wheels. I would not want to go with a wider tire or a narrower rim. I think it would make the tires would bow. Even with the 315s, I generally have to run higher than normal air pressure to keep the sidewalls from bulging and to make the ride feel right. At regular pressure, the tires feel a little squirrely. Personally, I would not go 315 on a 9" rim.

You can do 315s on a 10" rim. See my pics above.

I'm going with 275/40s on front and 305/35s on rear. It is at the upper fittment spectrom of the 20x9 and 20x10 rims, but i am hoping it will look much better than the current 245 and 275 that appear to be "stretched" now.
Going with Nitto 555 G2 tires. Here's to hoping i made the right caĺl. |

Ok. Went to a different tire shop. He measured my rims. Best we can tell they are 9.5 or 10. They are new takeoffs from a 16 ss Mind you I have tires on so didn’t get a exact measurement. He said 315 would be the max he would feel safe putting on them so I think I am going for it
