Depends on the tires. An SS on the OE Pirellis, it's a sit and spin. I wouldn't take it out in a chance of flurries. With all season/snows it gets around OK.

Didn't think it would make that much of a difference but...clearly... I'd still just as soon leave her in the garage except for on decent days....this cars more important to me then a child so...I'll be a winter driver coward

My RJT is going to be our only other car come november. I got the winter tires to see how it drives this year. WOW! It performs better than my 2000 camry with Michelin X one all season tires. Only got stuck once, driving it on an unplowed road, that had a pile of snow at the stop sign. I was able to simply back up and go right through it using the momentum of the car. Something else funny about the Pirelli scorpion ice and snow tires. You can do 150mph with them as well! I've been tempted to find a large nice open frozen lake and gun it

Luckily I was able to borrow my dads truck for the worst snows but when he had to use it I was SOL....I'm not afraid to call out ever snow day but if this years worse my job might not like that- LOL... |

Then I found a set of wheels from an SS take off on Ebay, and got them for $800 shipped. I had to buy the TPMS sensors about $45 a piece. $2103 the way I did it. If you go to tirerack I think they have a complete set of winter tires and wheels for like $1400 |

If you have a V6, then some smaller wheels with winter tires will be fine. My car held up great this past winter with just all-seasons on a set of 18" Heritage Wheels.
If you have an SS on the other hand, you might want to think twice about taking it out in snowy conditions. Not only will your 20's pick up some snow on the inside of the wheels (which causes a bumpy/shaky ride), that much torque could get you into trouble in slippery spots. But if its your only car, then a set of Pirelli Ice/Snow tires is what GM recommends. Either way, as long as you are not running summer tires, and driving with a light foot, you and your Camaro should be just fine!

Winter tires. No problems in a tough Canadian Winter.
