I just want to be very very very careful not to ruin my car. I've heard stories of guys who had their L99 cammed and it ruined their car. I just want to make sure it's done right and that I still love my car when it's done. I will be doing a supercharger for sure. But, the cam is still uncertain. Yes, it is easy to install the cam and supercharger when you convert the L99 to an LS3. But I would want to keep the L99 and the VVT. It can be done, there are a few success stories of some shops doing this on the forum. It just appears that most L99 owners take the easy way out, or get talked into it by the shop, to just convert it to an LS3 and move forward. I'm sure there are good and bad to both sides of that, just up to the owner the direction they want to go.

..and to share the bad news, the rims are back off the car, originals back on until we can get the one bad rim sorted out. It was fun while it lasted. :(

Goodguys is fun and if you don't want to pay to get in, then just check out the local hotel parking lots in the evening. Setting along 161 on the north end of town and watching them go by is fun too!

Hi guys! Just checking in after being gone to northern Indiana all weekend. Merlin liked the drive except on the way back through Indy heading from 65 onto 70. A truck threw a rock into his windshield and left a lovely deep chip that's starting to crack. Already got him an appt with the Safelite Autoglass folks so we'll see if it can be patched up. RS_Man is ticked - he wants to inherit Merlin in pristine condition!

Well, Mr. T got my sway bars and springs put on this weekend. Car looks great. I also picked up my engine and fuse box cover. They turned out great. We also painted my calipers this weekend and did some trim work on the engine. Don't mind the dirt, pic's were taken before she was washed. Sorry about the large pic's, I do not know how to make them smaller.

DE my engine cover is a vinyl wrap. It's a pic of my car with flames. We just finished everything yesterday, so I haven't been on any fun twisty roads. I did go to Waynesville today to get my engine cover.
jrhaus..good eye... that pic was taken before everything went back together..
