Nice!
Get well soon Jan! Finished my work week today! I catch an early flight tomorrow to Maryland to help my daughter relocate to Pittsburgh. At least I get to sleep one night in the new Sleep Number bed! Can't wait to go to bed!

Let us know how you feel about that bed, especially after you get to spend a few nights sleeping on it. Have a good trip & hope the move goes smoothly.
Skip, I hate to see you jump ship, but I know you like to trade vehicles often. Keep us posted on what you end up doing. The Vette is unique in the yellow. Don't think I have seen one that color. I am staying home today. Just in too much pain even with taking all the OTC pain meds I dare & heating pad. I was in tears this morning when I got up which is very rare for me. Not sure what to do. After reading on it, it sounds like they don't recommend a lot of tests unless you have had the pain for over 6 weeks. I can't take 6 weeks of this but also don't want to pay for a bunch of MRI's, X-rays & blood work.

Hope you get better soon Jan!
First night on the new bed was nice. I woke up with no pain. My wife ended up adjusting her sleep number overnight, now it matches mine. It does hold body heat, more so than our old bed. But I wasn't sweating. For the next four days, who knows what I will be sleeping on.

Next time you soak in the tub, try using some of Mr Teals Epsom Salt, several different kinds. Like peppermint, very soothing and it dose help a bit with pain. Doesn't cost much at all and pretty much can be had anywhere like Walmart (probably the lowest price) or CVS. Menthol or Lavender also nice! |

I used a lot of Dr Teal's lavender and Calgon Lavendar & always do when I soak which I am going to do again in a little while. Love Dr Teal's.

I'm no doctor or Chiropractor. But I do know the pain your going thru & so do a lot of other people. I have degenerate arthritis, 2 herniated discs, Born with curvature of the spine. They won't operate on my back no way. I go to a Chiropractor every week & it really helps me. I'm not trying to say he can help you or take your pain way.
He told me and so did a orthopedic surgeon never use a heating because it is dry heat. I use these a Comfort Gel Pack. It is flexible I keep it in the freezer all the time. You can use the same one for heat all you do is warm it up in the microwave. I have 2 of them one for cold & 1 for heat. Use the heat one first for 10 to 15 minutes then the cold one for the same amount of time.

Seems like I remember hearing that before about heating pads but I was desperate & it was all I had. It seems to be a little better the last hour of so but still hurts. I just don't know how long I can continue with the intense exercise or even the intense cleaning of Ruby I have been doing as it seems to aggravate it. This time though if that was it, I had a quite delayed reaction. I usually feel effects of exercise the second day but this started on a Monday & I did not do anything over the weekend to trigger it. Again, AquaLipo is looking better & better.

I feel for you and have had intermittent sciatica and/or lower back pain for years which can put me down for short periods of time. I have always been an anti-Chiropractor guy since I work in the medical field. On the other hand an Ortho guy seems to always recommend surgery. I found a young smart Chiro guy and go to him as needed after going once a week for 2 months. I also started Yoga which has made a HUGE difference. I think the consistent stretching has done me a world of good. Good luck and I hope you get to feeling better!

Short course of anti inflammatories If that does not work, 3-6 p.t. Sessions with home exercise program If that does not work, single epidural injection. If you don't get 50% relief for at least 2 weeks, further injection not needed. If that does not help, the Mir may be indicated. Hope you get better soon. Ian B |

Not sure how much wisdom I have to share but you are welcome to share what there is. Lots of good folks hang around here though. Welcome to hang with us as much as you'd like.
The back may be a little better. It is odd how this time is different than other times. Usually it hurts the most to stand, this time sitting is more the problem. Usually it hurts to arch my back but this time that is more comfortable & rounding my back is what hurts most. I am thinking now this is a delayed reaction to the weekend of work cleaning out the house and the weight class I took that same week. I have noticed some soreness just now showing up in other muscle groups too. Weird. Probably heading back to work tomorrow but really dread it as CMA fest is going on along with Bonaroo and traffic will be a nightmare.
