Made it through the short work week. The neediness of co-workers is cyclical, and I hope the long weekend ends it. I don't mind helping, but at one time, THREE people called me at once.

Not sure what I will be doing this weekend for entertainment.

Good Friday Morning! More rein expected today but I need to wash Ruby. She got rained on just enough at the dealership to have water spots all over her. Maybe I can time it in between showers or maybe just wash her under the car port then move into the garage to dry & detail. I might go with some of the ladies from the club to see Magic Mike XXL this evening.

Safe driving MrlanB & anyone else traveling. Glad you found something to rent you feel good about Skip. Have a good day all.

You should look into Corpus Christi, Tx area. Relatively inexpensive, excellent food, white powdered sandy beaches w/huge waves, and pretty warm weather Jan-Mar. Much much warmer than being way way up north like Galveston area. Padre Island just over the JFK bridge is nothing but beautiful sandy beach that goes on and on for hundreds of miles. Plus you drive your car/truck on the beach.

You'll definitely have Fun in the Sun. Rent a jet ski, surf board, or try kite surfing if you like being airborne. Or just work on your tan lines. Jan-Mar water temps are probably 70s or so.

If you're a clown like my hubby, he thought it would be funny to tell me that while he was body surfing his trunks just happened to slide off and land next to me. And I was about ten feet away from him! But then he noticed all the smaller fish, foot long or so, were jumping up and out of the water. Well he quickly realized they only jump up and out of the water when a Much Larger fish is about to eat them.

Ya you guessed it, he quickly went into a PANIC trying to reach me, well not me, his swimming trunks, since he realized he had this Little Piece of Bait Dangling between his legs. HahahaHehehe. I shoulda grabbed his trunks a B-lined for the shore. LOL......

Oh, one word of caution, do not turn your back towards incoming waves. If you don't know it's coming it will hit you like a Mac Truck. Man those waves are powerful. Knock you right on your butt.

Congrats Skip. Hope it works out for you.

Fixed my son's turn signal issue with a new turn signal flasher relay on his Cavalier. Oh, and he damaged the hood on it this week when he hit some trash cans. But it is still safe to use.

Oh well, back to my chores. Have a great day everyone.

Went to see Magic Mike XXL with some of the Camaro girls. OMG..............................new definition of permagrin! My jaws hurt. Funny thing was most of the audience was female & they did not turn the lights up for a while after it was over. Like they knew it would take us a while to compose ourselves. Then all the ladies were all talking to each other (complete strangers) about how we all felt like we had an experience together like we were there in the movie. Might need to own that one!

Not been on c5 for a while. My 57 year old brother passed away with undiagnosed heart failure in his sleep a couple of weeks ago. Therefore, I have not felt like doing anything very automotive lately (cruisin or working on car shed). We use to go watch a lot of short track dirt car racing together. Going to leave a hugh hole in that part of my life.

My fathers side of the family have/are living up into their upper 80's and 90's. My mothers side has a weakness with my grandfather passing at 66 in his sleep and my grandmother was 92. Quess my brother got dealt the bad hand. However, I know that each deck has more than one bad hand so I am going to get my ticker checked out by the doctors.

Yesterday, I got back my 1998 OEM Monte Carlo Hood. The paint shop guys oohhed and ahhed when they touched it for the first time. Had it painted black and decaled with the "Intimidator's" paint job. The picture has lots of glare from the fluorescant lights above. The hood was left over from my families chevy dealership when it was closed due to the dealer reduction. Going to hang it in the car shed.

Hope everyone has a safe 4th of July !!

John

So sorry to hear of your loss John. Strength & comfort to you and all his loved ones.

I had a nice visit with my dad. I took some pieces of cantaloupe & a fork & mashed the melon so he could et it safely. He seemed to like it & ate several bites. He was able to say a few things that were somewhat understandable. Then we had a nice cookout at Mike's parent's house. Again I am stuffed. His mom send home enough food for us to eat on a couple of weeks. No wonder it is hard for me to loose weight. But we won't have them to spoil us forever. Mike's dad was really feeble & hurting a lot today.

Hope everyone had a nice day.

Good morning. I got to sleep in a little but Ruby Too (Rabbit) made us get up. She is so rotten. The rain is supposed to clear up but remaining cloudy. I may give my Camaro a bath. Have a nice Sunday.

So sorry to hear about your brother John!

Had a nice 4th. Family came out to the mountains and we enjoyed cornhole, visiting, playing pool, watching movies, going to the park and playing, cooked, ate, watched fireworks. Glad to hear you all had some good times too.
