nice! How long did you wait to drive your car to allow the curing to happen?

Also, what did you do about the lugs?

Thanks!

P.S. Welcome to C5!

P.P.S. Pictures of the wheels and your car!!

well i waited like 5 hours before i drove any where, but it doesnt take to long for it to dry after your final coat and as long as you spray close enough it comes out pretty smooth and not the tacky feeling. i just put tape around the lugs so it wouldnt get on them and a trash bag around the brake....

only have a couple of pictures but here ya go. also thanks for the welcome!

I've been researching Plastidip as a last resort coat to paint my diffuser with if I can't get paint to stick. It sticks to anything and unless you deliberately try to remove it, then it is pretty damn durable since rock chips and debris just bounce right off the rubbery texture. I've seen videos of people pressure washing it and it didn't come off.
It doesn't look good. Trust me. I tried every possible combination of ways to apply it and it never worked once.

Question for 45th owners:
I've been considering dipping my side lettering, but should I just plasti-dip "camaro" or the 45th logo as well?

How long did you wait until you peeled the plastidip off the tire?

If I take the wheels OFF of the car, what's the best solution to keep the lugs from tearing the plasti dip off the wheel when I go to mount them back on the car?

I'm having issues with the lugs catching the plasti dip and peeling it away from the wheels.

I might have to look into blue lugs... but I have ABM painted calipers so that might be too much
