Ed,
My z-2 that I got has about the same texture as jelly?..Impossible
to mix (shake) with the ZFX..The Z-5 is normal (like any other liquid wax)
I went ahead and used it a while back and it seemed to do OK other than
not mixing well with the ZFX so it took a while to dry on the car.

Did I get a bad bottle you think?.....Thanks!

If you're going to use either one, I'd recommend the chamois over a gel squeege. I used chamois on a car I owned previously with no real problem. As for the squeege, I've always been concerned with there being some small debris which would be dragged across the surface using a squeege.

It IS possible you have a bad batch. Have you had the Z-2 for a while, (have you stored it outside?) or is it new? I know there have been a few instances where theres been a bad batch. I would contact Sal and explain to him the issue with the Z-2 and I'm sure he'll replace it for you.

Z-2 should be of the same consistency as Z-5 (liquid) and mix easily with ZFX.

Saw a you tube video and that gel squeege catches just a little debris and scratches all down the front of the car. I'd go to an automatic car wash first!

I've had the Z-2 sence August and it arrived like this. I went ahead and used
it thinking it was normal..But yesterday I opened it up and it's got even thicker. I keep all my detailing supply's in the house. I E-mailed Zaino, heres
the response.

Hi,
I ordered the z-kit 1 a couple of months back and have just now gotten to try

It out. I discovered that the Z-2 pro was almost as thick as toothepaste?

(His reply) Sometimes being cold makes Z-2 thicker than normal...

Impossible

To mix up with the accelerator,is this normal?

(His reply) The ZFX does not have to be mixed up that well when added to Z-2...

The Z-5 was very different, it was more

Liquid like(Like all other waxes I’ve used) I shook and shook it but could not get it

To thin out. Did I get a bad bottle?

(His reply) Just try warming it a bit in a warm place

Thanks for your help

Danny

Has anyone waxed their black matte rally stripes? I've waxed the car, but have purposely NOT waxed the stripes. To do or not to do?

I'd try placing Z-2 in a bowl filled with hot water and see what happens. I honestly think there's a problem with the batch you received.

Give it a try and if it doesnt work, make sure to let Sal know. I cant see why he wouldnt replace it.

I've seen them done and they looked great. If you decide to polish them, try it on a small, inconspicuous spot first, and see how it goes.

Okay,

I wanna use the Zaino's products but never used them before. I have a black Camaro for 2 days now and i LOVE it....i think i'm gonna marry it

Is there a guide on how to start and how's the sequence for applying Zaino products, and what do i need exactly as applicators and such.

I know it should be somewhere on this forum but i am not able to find it, maybe you can send me the link? Or if i am the first one to ask can you explain??

Thanks very very much!!

Check out Zaino's site, they have instructions on there. Also, when you get your order, they'll give you an instruction sheet. I ordered their 1st bundle that came with everything except for the leather cleaning stuff. Great stuff!

Have you stored the wax/polish, etc., indoors?

Personally, I'd start "fresh" and buy newer "stuff".
