Well it's here!
 Now the bad news!  The driver unloading it smashed it in the side while unloading it! So after a 3 month wait, I get to wait for another two weeks while the dealer searches for parts , paints parts and gets PDI done. So I guess this is a big lesson in patients.  |

Dean, very sorry to see this after your long wait. Is it just the mirror? Can't see damage on the body in this pic. I'm thinking if it's just the mirror you can get a satisfactory repair.

My detailer who is installing Xpel this week does a great prep over the whole car including clay bar. He catalogs all the defects before installing the clear film. I get the following voice mail: "Did you know about this deep scratch on your right front fender? Also found two stone chips on the front." SAY WHAT!?!
So I run over there and sure enough, there it is. In fact, it extends frontward about nine inches but is much lighter. The worst if it is through the clearcoat into the paint but not quite to the metal. The lighter part toward the front is just into the clearcoat. The lighter part gets covered with film, the deeper over the wheel well did not. He had some GM SW touch up paint to cover the chips but wouldnt do anything on the scratch, "that's out of my league, brother". I am severely bummed about this, trying to figure out what happened. Did i get keyed???

I'm sure you've been very careful like me... I've also found a couple little imperfections.. A bolt was loose under the little rubber piece inside the interior door grip.. There is nothing to screw it back in to... And there is a tiny piece of hood wrap that didn't properly adhere to the edge right beside the hood extractor.

Dealer made it way right! Got some small lines in the paint under the mirror, but I can take it.
