Cool, thanks for the info! I agree, you can do a lot with molded plastics to "appear" as if they were LED that would work for about 99% of consumers.

Couldn't agree more. It will certaintly detract attention away from the rest of the cars design/detail...which is probably NOT what GM wants with this vehicle. Like has been said before, i think it's a nominal cost to paint the damn thing if it's the right type of fin...just do it and be done with it so it isn't an eye sore on the colors other than the darks. On the yellow one at the Indy event, that damn fin was the first thing that caught my eye before anything else.

Just my two cents.

Not exactly correct. SS1 is base V8 model with cloth interior and fewer bells and whistles for the budget minded SS buyer. The SS2 has leather interior and most all of the goodies for those that wanted a loaded SS. The L99/6-spd Automatic or the LS3/6-spd manual is available in either SS1 or SS2.

Call me paranoid, but I don't want someone to have complete control over my car either. When would this really happen? Probably never, but with everything computer controlled, I just don't like someone else having more control over my car than I. I suspect they could disable the car it they wanted to, seeing as how they at least have the ability to open door locks. I'm not typically a conspiracy theorist, but this concerns me so I could do without Onstar, personally. That, and I'd rather spend the $$$ elsewhere.

I think that fin, especially after the image referrence to the lighter, makes less of an impact in my eyes, than before. It is smaller than the one on my wifey's Jetta, so it doesn't seem to stick out as much as I first though, IMVHO.

SS1 = SS

AND

SS2 = SS/RS

AGAIN JUST MY THINKING On The Subject.. I Came up with this Durring the presentation that was givin. Seems To Me This Would Be An Easier way to differenciate to two...

no you are wrong, SS1 is pretty plain, cloth seats and such, Cheryl even said that it was for people just wanting performance but not the bells and whistles, and SS2 had leather, ambient, sound, all that good stuff, you can add RS to either.
