Good morning crew. Slept in again. It is nice to be able to do that on the weekends. Looks like my club mates did well at the car show yesterday taking home several awards including some first & second places & club participation award but they got rained on. Not sure yet what all I'll get into today. Have a good Sunday.

I have a meeting set up for next week with the principal of one of the schools I will be in.
Hang in there, Jan.

If your tires are any good in the wet, you should have gone anyway, especially given that the car has been set up for cornering. Guaranteed there were people who showed up who still didn't run, and you'd most likely have ended up with only light traffic out there.

We're in the process of putting the house back into some sense of order. Thursday and Friday we had a small crew over replacing every window in the house proper - 16 in all - and we'd had to clear enough space around every single one of them not fully knowing what order they were going to tackle them in. The one window in the garage is neither double-hung nor sliding, so that one was left alone, as were the doors (which will be a separate project somewhere down the road). The windows are Andersen, the double-hungs just tip into the room for cleaning, and 50 years newer glass with no funny optical effects and screens without patches does make a difference. Cheryl is very happy with them.

I say "some sense of order" rather than any sort of true order, because I'm not quite ready to throw out the last of Dad's financial papers and such. There's still one or two things left for me to do about his estate before I can pack all that stuff away.

Enjoy the weekend one and all.
We are getting some wonderful weather at last.
Mid 70's and lower humidity.
Car is all cleaned up and waxed, should go for a drive
but just stay put and get the grill out.

Weather was pretty good here today too. Still pretty humid & rather hot but cooler than it has been & tolerable in the shade.

This old fart & her hubby age getting more & more old farty. Every time we take on a DIY project we end up saying "Well, that is the last time we will do that ourselves. We will just pay someone next time". It started last year when we power washed the house. More recently the painting of the deck & even smaller things like re-upholstering the reclining couch foot rest & today's porch chair refinishing. Is it just us? Seems like you guys still have more energy & spunk than we seem to have these days.

Here are some pics from today's project. I did not get the bench done & that and the tole painting to decorate all of them will have to wait for another day. Mike tried to get me to just throw the chair & rocker out but I just couldn't. The chair is from the oldest factory in our area the Hinkle chair factory & it came from the church I grew up in. The rocker was the rocking chair I rocked my son many miles in then painted it & graduated it to the porch. I first painted them about 15 years ago and the chair was really deteriorated.

Very nice job Jan. I'll be shipping the 3 chairs I have on the front porch. You should receive them by FedEx on Wednesday. Let me know when you get them done.

Good Monday morning. Breakfast & coffee time & off to work for more transition. My hands are showing the wear from yesterday's work. I tried to keep rubber gloves on but they kept tearing. nothing major though, just s few abrasions. Have a good day crew.

Nice job! I hear ya on all the projects. We're gett'n closer and closer to making our move to Texas. But we are thinking more and more about maybe getting into a condo vs a house.

No more lawn to cut, painting, trimming, weeding, and constant things to touch up/fix. Our time can be 100% spent doing things we want to do, not crap we have to do.

On the negative side, well you got neighbors on all sides as well as above and below. Unless we get a townhouse condo. But either one you lose your privacy.

We live in the sticks now, can't really see or hear the neighbors, and you can't beat that!!! So there's a price to pay...... Decisions decisions, this is one that requires lots of mulling over.

I was a work machine yesterday! Washed three cars, detailed the Impala engine compartment, and cleaned all the tile floors in the house. I was too tired to post last night.

All of this additional activity is making positive results on weight loss, as I am now wearing size 34 pants and am close to my original 80 lbs goal.

Furniture looks great Jan.

Good luck.with your work Norm.

Have fun with theach move Normagene. You may want to reconsider moving into such opposing living environments.

Another day of getting things done to transfer jobs. I did not get to make my exercise class. I was late getting my last client out & by the time I changed & got there half the class would have been over, plus I had notes to do so just headed home. Got the notes done & still I am tired. Sweet dreams.

Not sure what's up with my Tapatalk App, it's what I use for this Forum, anyway, I haven't been able to post any pics in months. It starts to up load then freezes up at 98/99%.

What's up with that???

Had a really good NAKED pic of myself I was going to post - but no luck.
