Do I really need a kit? SHould I provide pipe that I want, and ... and... and....arrrrrggghh lol. maybe i'm just tired!
You can go to a muffler shop, I have heard some shops won't do the muffler delete but mine did. You would just have to pay for the pipe and tips. Find a small shop in the hood and they will do anything lol

well i would say to see how much they are charging for muffler delete. the SLP is $400 and the nice thing about that is that its a clamp on, nice chrome tips too, so if you wanted to clamp your oem exhaust back on, you could.

this is true. altho i'd likely get whatever i get welded if i'm doing it anyway.

bajamoon i believe had a thorley muffler delete kit i was thinking of getting from him, or i might go with andy's flowmaster axle-backs. I am just waiting on official word from my local muffler shop about cost... if I don't get an answer tomorrow I'm driving over there when I get home.

Go with the flowmaster, it will sound good.

I am leaning that direction - would be temporary, but it's inexpensive and would definitely be an improvement on my current sound.

Mike has recommended Magnaflows. I'm still trying to get more sound clips for them. I loved the sound of the AMT cat-backs and am just starting to find some decent examples of the magnaflow. I will probably end up going that direction later on. But as I've said, I'm finding it hard to drive around with such a quiet V8. I want to hear my baby!!

Yeah but they are used for $80, cheap temp exhaust. I agree with Magnaflow. I'm just going to swap my stock mufflers for Magnaflow's and call it a day.

Exactly. And I feel like I'd rather have the $80 used flowmasters than do a delete. maybe. I need to hear some more cars! BAH!
