Warhead - I feel your pain. I knew what I was doing to myself, but did it anyway. I even went to the dealer once to see if I could change my color order. Then, I just had to accept that yes, it's a pain of epic proportions. Yes, I sound like a freak when I constantly have to say, "touch it and die." Or when I have to tell someone specifically how to open and close the door... There are just some things or imperfections you have to over look from time to time. With all due respect to the other colors, a clean black car is still spectacular and showcases the beauty of the car. When we were up in Layton and I saw what the black Camaro looks like in the rear view mirror, it screams Total Bad A$$. Your "Sinister" plates would not be appropriate for any other color. All that being said, I cannot picture myself driving any other color and I'd be a dumb A$$ all over again.

FINALLY, first instincts are overrated. I can think of at least 20 first instincts that had I acted upon, would have amounted to at least 6 of the 7 sins, 5 or 6 felonies, and total disregard for 7 of the 10 commandments. And that's just within a week.

SSOOCH - I've had my car one year and 10 days now. Weird how everyone thought I was crazy when I announced what an important day June 18th was... I should have bought Camaro cupcakes or something.

Black is beautiful when clean but a pain to keep clean, I knew that when I bought the car. Just frustrated after waxing it. Someone had brushed against it and left some fine scratches so I broke out the Zano. For the most part Zano isnt bad just labor intensive and gives a deep shine. However, it doesnt help when there is something in the towel that leaves more scratches behind as you wipe off the wax.

I am here too and reading the posts. Hope you all are having a good month. I know everyone has been out on their respective jaunts and I am headed out for mine this week. Going to Woodland where my GF's family has a great cabin. Doing all of the lakes etc. for 4 days. Can't wait. When everyone is finally back, we ought to finalize the drive to ??? Sometime here soon !? I am always up for a short meet and BS session too. Lots of nices places 'round here this time of year.

Black cars: Arrrggghhh, I have a black Ridgeline that is pitted and swirled to no end. The Honda paint isn't any better than the Chevy paint .

For sale: Hey, out to the Utah peeps first, I have just purchased some aftermarket rims and would like to sell my stock SS Polished rims with TPMS and Pirelli tires. ~2500 miles on the combo and the rims are in excellent condition with no dings. I will be listing on KSL for 1800.00 OBO, but will sell to anyone here for 1650.00 OBO. Just thought I would throw it out there.

Hey guys! We are back from NE Ohio. What a long drive 3,800 miles or so. We took our Honda and out of boredom (gotta love Wyoming and Nebraska) we decided to count every 2010 Camaro and write down what color they were.

Summit White 2
Victory Red 1
Inferno Orange 1
Cyber Grey 6
Red Jewel 2
Silver Ice 2
Imperial Blue 2
Rally Yellow 3
Synergy Green 0
Aqua Blue 0

And the winner is even though it's a terrible pain is my beloved black with 10 and I even saw a dude with a black LS like mine.

I join with all other Black Camaro owners in bemoaning the effort it takes to keep our cars clean. I just picked up the PC 7346SP at Lowe's tonight to help with the polishing process. Now I'm soliciting the expert advice of this group for polish selection. Are their any OTC polishes good for use with the PC? I see several Meguiar's products at Checkers. Also, I see some pad kits on AutoGeek--are they worth getting? How good is the white pad that comes with the PC. Looking forward to meeting some of you at the JDP open house.
