Since your going to Ls7 style then I'd call lethal and see if the enforcer cam would be too small or just right. You can't get a traditional Ls3 head cam. See what those guys have to say.

Cool Hemp thanks bud! We WILL LEARN TUNING LOL

I need help from the help desk! Mods are: Vararam tune version, Vmax TB, LT's with HF cats, Solo catback, RX catch can, dyno tuned, and 3.91 GM gears. My question relates more to the affects of various things as they relate to the tune.

After the dyno tune and gear install the car pulled like a freight train and seemed pretty good with throttle response and driveability. When I drove it home (2 1/2 hours) from the dyno I noticed that the valve inside the catch can was vibrating like a mofo! So Tracy (SC2150) suggested replacing the valve with a standard NPT elbow fitting to eliminate the valve. That did the trick but I have since noticed that the throttle response and driveability will vary from day to day. Some days are great others seem a little sluggish, even when the weather is the same.

Now comes the interesting part. This past Saturday I noticed suddenly that the throttle response was nice and crisp and instant and driveability was better than ever! When I opened the hood at the track my buddies noticed that the hose clamp on the VR neck was cocked such that it was off of the neck so as to not seal the neck to the coupler. When I got home I had to notch the clamp so it fit straight on the neck (interference with the vacuum bung on the coupler). I also installed clamps on the vacuum hoses on the catch can that I never had installed. Now we're back to the lowered throttle response problem.

Sorry for the long post but my question is:
1) Could all these loose clamps, bad catch can valve, etc affect the day to day driveability? It seems that with the VR neck clamp being loose it drove much better. Could it be that it was letting unmetered air into the TB after the MAF? What does this point to?
2) If it was tuned with the bad valve in the catch can and not a good seal on the VR neck will it need to be re-tuned now with all these issues fixed? Thanks!

If you had unmetered air it would of showed up on the tune. I've had the vararam on since 2010 and no issues. Can Tracy send you another one? I have the revX with the oil breather an tuned with no issues.

Try taking the catch an off it won't affect your tune an see how it drives.

I bypassed the catch can and it ran like crap. My tuner said it was tuned with it in so I can't bypass it. Where is your's mounted? I had to mount mine where the stock cai was because of the VR but it added 3' of hose (6' total round trip). Is that why?
