Thanks for your help this, but there is something fishy on this order:

I ordered a Black 2SS and this Red 2SS with in 5 minutes of each other back on 11/07/08. Identical cars exccept for exterior color. The Black car showed up on the 5th of June. Great car.

Three weeks later I was told by the factory 800 status check that the Red car was produced and was in QC and that they would call me back when it left QC, probably one week. The call never came. When I called them back they said my order number NFHXTX had not been made and that it didn't have a scheduled build date. After another week it apparrently was scheduled for the week of July 20th (even according to you). Now, it has been pushed to the week of August 03 (even according to you also - and the dealer). The dealer has no explanation for this and his comment is 'we'll just have to wait and see".

I cancelled everything on both cars that might have held them up as soon as those things were known (engine cover and shifter is all I believe). Both cars have the 21" wheels, but I have not heard of any hold on those, and the Black one made it thru - these are dealer installed anyway.

What gives on this? Did the car get hi-jacked to another dealer with more clout or something clandestine like that, or is GM just that bad at tracking cars in their own shop?

It's now been 9 months from order. So much for taking care of the loyal Camaro driver (since 1970). If I knew any one to call that gave a crap I'd do it. Can you get anymore insite on this issue from your sources?
