Gonna run auto-x at Hawkeye Downs tommorow with the CR Corvette Club. They're calling it practice. Not sure what that means but I'm gonna make some runs for $15. Registration and tech start at 10am. Cars on track at noon.Running til 5pm if anyone wants to come out.

Lets hear some good results from C5Fest guys. Bring it on home !

What the heck is slow speed auto-x ? Thats what it says on their website. Slow speed ? We don't have that on our cars.

sounds great, registration at 8:30 and cars start running at 11:00 I think they said.

Thanks Steve. Have fun and show em what you got ! This looks to be a fun auto-x today. Not alot of cones except for a small slalom on the backstretch at Hawkeye Downs. I saw video of previous Downs runs. Looking forward to all ICE members who run auto-x to get together for a track day.

I ain't scared. A few more coming up we will have to plan on one of them have a bunch of us go togaether. Isn't Hawkeye Tec coming up in like 2 weeks Oscaloosa in September?

The Iowa Region's next events- Aug. 19 Hawkeye Tech - Sep.30 Oskaloosa airport The Des Moines Valley Region has an event at Iowa Speedway on Sep.9th and Oskaloosa A.P. on Sep.23. The Great River Region(Quad City area) also has some in QC area. I ran the Iowa Speedway auto-x last year, lots of fun.

The auto-x practice with Vette club was a blast ! Hardly any gates and then they removed some from the inside loop. They were having trouble with the timimng but still a great time. I made about 15 runs. My fastest 46.6. Fun fun fun !!!

Iowa Events Center Auto-X was fun and thanks Paul for stopping out. found out asphalt with seal coat is hard to get traction on, and traction control just pushes your front end around. Got to run 2 sets of 3 runs each, turned off all traction control for 2nd set so back end would slide and front end could go where I wanted it to, not good times for me but had a lot of fun amd improved on each run the biggest jump was turning off the traction control. Now I need to learn it is not an all or nothing with the accelerator. My best was 58.3 but at least it wasn't the worst I think that went to the corvet that only made 1 maybe 2 qualafing runs out of 6 that car had so much power it kept missing the corners I think.

Great job Nitro and Steve. So I went to riverside but without my car. Played the slots for a little while then decided to play roulette. Handed my players card to the pit boss and she informed me I needed to go to the cashiers cage. I thought it was since I preregistered and they had some freebies for me, nope. turns out somehow they had a voucher for me in the amount of $397.00. Awesome. Not exactly sure how it happened but made my day.
