I'm bringing the Camaro over to Motiva tomorrow morning at 10 AM if anyone wants to see it get Dyno-tuned.

All of the major body panels are in place and aligned.

I still have to install the grille, put on the remaining moldings, install the RS headlight door motors, front driver lights, headlights, and minor piece parts here and there. She's just about ready for show!

Talking Seeing the Light!

The '69 is now seeing the sunlight!

Washed and ready for a tune. Here are some pics in the sunlight. The blue really stands out now!

It goes to Motiva at 10:00 AM this morning.

Thanks for dropping by and checking it out!

Unfortunately, Motiva couldn't tune it today. We have to fix a vacuum leak on the intake manifold first.

The boys at Car Crafters are doing that now. Once done, I can take it back over for a dyno-tune.

We still have a bunch of tweaking to do, but that was expected. This is a "fine-tuned" automobile.

But, man! Does this thing handle well!

I'm totally amazed with Hotchkis!

By the way...

Jim Guthrie gave it a test drive this morning. We ran out of gas pulling it out of Car Crafters (which we knew it was low). We had to coast it to the gas station down the hill. Once I filled it up, Jim put it through the ringer!

He broke in the clutch and brakes. My head was going back and forth as he did it. He swerved back and forth to get the "varnish off of the tires". My head was swinging to and fro!

Then we blew past Car Crafters at about 100 MPH up the hill toward Bob Turner Ford. Man does this thing scream!

Jim did say he likes how it handles.

I was at Motiva today getting my car tuned when your car was delivered. Man that thing looks great in person! Great job with the front suspension.

Cool Continued Efforts

After my trip to Motiva and discovering a vacuum problem with the intake, we had to tear down the top of the motor to address the issue.

Here it is back together with the old manifold. This time, however, it's all ported out to work with the FAST injection system. After many conversations with FAST, this is what they recommended.

It ran last night. We'll do the basic tune today. Probably run it over to Motiva tomorrow or early next week.

In addition, while Louie was working on the motor, I put the front-end pieces together along with some of the chrome. As you can see, it's becoming more and more like a Camaro.

The hood has to be repainted as there wasn't enough base coat applied. This really stood out when it was in the sun. As such, it's getting redone. Hopefully, it makes it through the booth today.

Many thanks! The tires are Hoosier R6s. Street legal track tires. I don't plan on driving this in the rain.
