Morning all!
I just got a email back from Spencer Young (Young Chev) and RMR Racing. He said that they could accomodate us at Rocky Mountain Raceway for a photo shoot too.
So locations to be had everywhere.......

The waiting is killing me I know you can all relate to this feeling. Especially now at this stage of the game. I keep looking at the website or email from my dealer to see if I moved up a notch. Viz won't be checking for us today because its his birthday.

Got a lead on a photographer who has done some work in the Salt Flats and who does some artsy kind of stuff/effects. Waiting to hear back on availability and cost.

Just checked the Viz status and as of today I am still at 3300 9-28 I really hoped I moved to 3400 but it is only Tuesday so I will be hoping by Friday..

Remember how you all felt when you were waiting so patiently for your cars? Tell me your story and how you survived the wait? Just thought it would be fun to hear since IM going crazy waiting.

Gemini, I'm afraid to tell you but once you know it's been built and it's just waiting to hop on a train out west is the worst part of the wait. Mine really only took about thirteen days to get here, but it felt like an eternity. I found myself going to bed early just so tomorrow would come sooner, like a little kid the week before Christmas. Seriously, when I saw that truck pull up at Gus Paulos, I'm not going to lie, I shed a tear. A tear of joy, happiness and most of all relief. If you get to track it and you can find out exactly when it's going to arrive let me know. My office is right down the street, I'll run down and try to get pics and video of it like I did with mine when they're rolling it off of the truck.

Alright, I know it's too soon to ask but if the Z/28 comes out, are any of you trading up?

Depends on a lot of things. My impulsiveness makes me want the latest greatest (which we'd all be in the poor house if we gave in on all the iPod changes). Logically, what on God's green earth do I need a 550hp car for?

Additionally, I put the Camaro on my midlife crisis list. Are you allowed a do-over/do again if you already have one?

So the answer....I'd probably get one.

The only person I told about ordering the car was my husband. What drove me more insane than waiting, was him asking me a million times "did you hear? when? when? when?" He's really lucky to be alive. It's a Christmas Miracle for sure.

When I ordered, I was told it would probably be May before it would come in. My sales guys were AWESOME about keeping me updated. I kept pretty mellow about the wait. Trains don't have stop signs, stop lights or much traffic, how long could it take. Well, quite awhile. I think the car was put on the train June 1. They predicted it would be on the lot on June 6. It didn't arrive until June 15. Then I declined to take it because it was raining. I left it at the dealer for 4 days! Got the windows tinted and some clear bra put on. Finally took it home on June 19.

To pass the time I cleaned the garage repeatedly. Scrubbed and pressure washed the floor. Took the air compressor to every surface to dust. Bought floor mats to put on both sides of the car to wipe feet before getting in. Bought an attachment for the air comp to be able to blow the car off. I even taped the freaking floor off to practice driving in and out of the garage with my other car (I know you'll think less of me now). I researched wash products, wheel cleaning things, what kind of towels.....I called several body shops and visited one.

If I thought I was slightly OCD before....It's off the charts now!!!

At the moment, I would say I won't be trading up. However, once I get the car (it being a 2LT), if I am dissappointed with its giddyup, I may consider trading up. Probably not going to happen though since I am not getting it to race or "blow people off the line". I'm buying it because I think it's the hottest thing on 4 tires and it has the amenities I wanted.

I love it thanks for the good reading. Ssooch you work near Riverton Chev? If that is the case then heck yeah I can keep you posted because I work out by the airport and would never make it there in time. Unless it goes to Brashers auto for a stop over then I could drive by and see it.

thanks everyone. Oh I was taking my son out last night to practice drive in my neighborhood and came across a new SIM camaro. I pulled over and told my son I would be right back and walked up to the door. When the gal answered I gave her a Camaro5 card and my name on the site. I told her that we all like to chat and are tring to get a photo session together so perhaps she may join this site. She got hers at Gus Paulos.

My son thought it was to funny that I would go up to a strangers home. Oh well what can I say Ive got the Camaro fever.
