IT Audit here, currently working for GM which makes buying the car a little easier with the employee discount.

I'm 23 and I work in IT (Systems/Network analyst). I do not have a degree I only graduated high school. I started college went for about a year, decided it wasn't for me.
First job was sales associate at RadioShack where I started as part time, then full time, then assistant manager. Decided working 6 days a week 55+ hrs a week wasn't what I wanted to do so I switched jobs. Went to work for an outsourced Apple call center. Was level 1 support for 60 days then switched to level 2 support and got a pay raise. Company started falling apart as the "higher ups" left so I started looking for a new job. Found a job doing IT at the local hospital, but was only a temporary job. I worked at the hospital my days off from the Apple call center until I was able to work 40+ hrs a week. Once all the work started dying down the IT director of the hospital told me about another job at another hospital a few towns away that was doing the same conversion of software and could probably use my help. So I interviewed and got the job based on experience. Not college... Worked at the hospital for a few months, bought my first house for my wife and daughter. Paid all the bills myself for about 5 months until my wife got a job as a CMA at a local doctors office. Once my wife got her job I started looking more seriously at Camaros and one day just went to test drive one and came home with it. Granted it was used, and not an SS but I still have the Premagrin nonetheless! Do what you enjoy. In the IT field it's ever changing so I like that about it and I just feel like I can figure anything IT related out if I try. Gives a reward of self confidence when you fix a issue you've never come across before. That happens regularly at a hospital with 600+ users. MackMan via Tapatalk
