Next on the list are the Morenos, Zl1 spoiler, and ZL1 belly pan... As soon as the race ramps get here... Cam specs sent out so hope to do that here in the next few weeks...
Re-routing the catch can lines tonight ... -Don

I wanted to route the lines for the catch can differently so I used the 3/8 fuel injection hose, the 'ends' from an L99 'passenger side' clean PCV line, the '90*' bends from that and created my own custom hose. I also used this to give it that 'special' look (from Masters Carr):
![]() Really makes it stand out. The PCV line was one I had plus I bought another one to get the 'straight' end. If you don't have one, then get two of these: ![]() Now, nice and clean look (I used high heat RTV to 'hold' the curves together): Fuel Injection Hose (3/8"): ![]() Routing: ![]() ![]() ![]() Much nicer I think and looks like more expensive hoses too... -Don

What a response from GPI...
Aaron has informed me they are going to get me a VVT spec'd cam as compensation for what happened -- this is on top of the complete rebuild they did on my differential! Unbelievable response to say the least so... I'm getting a Cam Motion VVT version of the BTR cam: http://www.briantooleyracing.com/btr...-camshaft.html Wow! I can't believe it!.... SO, future upgrade coming ;o) -Don

More LSA. I'm @ 112 now, this one is 120 so more vacuum for the brake booster and better idle. .639 and .631 with the SS1. New one is .610 .585. Not a huge difference but more sc friendly...
I just drove it on the highway again tonight and the SS1 is awesome. Cold start is good, but low vacuum on the booster means you need to wait before moving. Warm it up first! Won't have that issue with the BTR spec VVT... -Don.

OK, Moreno's are on!
Just so everyone knows, I have a late model 11 and after a call to Justin, we both realized I needed to follow the '12' instructions as the late model 11's were upgraded. So, taking off the struts are no problem (I've done it a few times on this one), but before you do that, take advantage of 2 things: 1) Mark the strut to the Knuckle with a marker and 2) Using the metric bolt, screw it in to 'mark' your current setting. This will make it MUCH easier to re-install and get it right: ![]() ![]() So, once you've followed the instructions, here is the 'black' top: ![]() and the spring retainer you need to separate: ![]() ![]() Lower part of the Moreno installed: ![]() ![]() Now installed on the strut: ![]() ![]() ![]() So to install the 'top' on the passenger's side on the late 2011, here is the spacer you'll need: ![]() Installed! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Now, the vinyl arrows don't stick well. I adjusted them and then used super glue to 'clear coat' it to stay. I did clean the area first and then applied the arrows... Now, I did tighten the top camber plates, but when I 'moved' the car, the left strut 'slipped' so I had to adjust again and made sure it 'settled' properly. Tighten up and off I went -- no issues! All done! ![]() More to come... -Don

I know, I just can't believe it. Really surprising to me.
I love working on it -- I had a '68 and LOVED working on that one... Well, now, I have the ZL1 trunk coming in RJT, and I'm out to get some screws for the ZL1 belly pan I want to put on... More to come and thanks! -Don
