I haven't noticed any negative performance difference compared with the stock box nor has there been any WOW factor either.

I question if any CAI can provide noticible gains with this motor without a tune. With that said, I'm going to try SLP's Blackwing shortly. It's only a tube and filter but I may be working with SLP in the future with their Dyno based tune when/if they release the v6 version. SLP's shop is not too far from me.

I've thought alot of the Blackwing due to the fact scrming saw improvements in his 0-60 and such just by removing the resonator from the factory tube. Get rid of the accordian section and you smooth it out even more.

I've toyed with the idea of making my own, matter of fact, need to head to the store now, lol. Anniversary tommorow, gotta get her a gift, so I can swing by the HI store and price some goodies!!

Wow I'm shocked there hasn't been a reply from Airaid, NOT!

Maybe you guys are uncovering the real gains or lack off gains in this case and they don't want to show their face.

It should bend out from the air box, not in to it.

doesn't it seem that just keeping on the little black engine cover on there would retain more heat right in the intake manifold area, and that would leech out some of the power? I think I'll be popping that off in the future.

Looking from the date and time from the post of fixing the strip , it seems like mibadd got the word out first .
