Looks like opening day was cancelled due to weather in Cleveland and New York. Hope your weather warms up soon. We're in the 90's here, for now.

Unfortunately, bad weather may affect my upcoming weekend. Three huge cruises/shows are happening this weekend.

I can't go tomorrow and the other exchange dates don't work either without me taking another day off to go. I paid about double the normal cost for my seats and that was through the Indians and now they just want me to take a normal game as an exchange. I just want a refund of my money. This will be the first opening day I have missed in the last 8 years.

you got all the way out there. It sure would have been nice if I could have got a hold of you. If I had sent you a pm would it have come up on your phone.

Very cool! We'll try harder to make this work.

Going to be 98* here today. But the weather changes begin tomorrow.

I had a fairly busy day but managed to get all my notes done & beat the storms home! Now just a few showers remain. Looking like a cold weekend here. Bummer. Come on Spring!

I live in a snowbelt area and work up to 3hrs away from my house . A mth ago my manager said that they were not going to replace my company vehicle at this time , he wanted to wait 1 more year . I currently drive a 2011 chevy express cargo van with all wheel drive . the van has been excellent, it handled everything that was thrown its way. it has not had any mechanical issues either .
GM has discontinued the all wheel drive van , the reason for it was that it was costing them too much money to make it ....I suggested let me drive the chevy for another year to see if Ford offers an all wheel drive model . they don't want to do that .

So I just found out he now has ordered me a ford transit full size van , and yes it is NOT all wheel drive. the direct replacement for the chevy was an F150 pickup 4x4 with a utility cap . their reasoning for not getting the pickup is that they feel I have more potential to hurt my back climbing in the back of it to retrieve parts . I explained that that's my office and out my window it's snowing a lot and out their windows it's clear . They don't seem to get it , they preach safety but make dum moves like this . They just don't get I suggested they come spend a day with me , but I think this week should be the last of the snow .... ugh !!!!!!!!! Oh well

Those Chevy Express Vans are pretty tough, but with the introduction of these lighter, more fuel efficient vans, these old full size vans will be discontinued.

Working as a collision adjuster, we experience delays with almost every Ford Transit repair, as parts seem to be always on back order or just not available. I have one that has been down since early February. If your company insists on providing the 2 wheel drive Transit as a company vehicle, insist it be equipped with Bridgestone Blizzaks or Goodyear Ultra Grips for winter driving, then have the A/S tires installed for driving during the rest of the year. Nothing beats AWD, but winter tires will help.

More rain today. I miss my hot tub. Still no word on my daughter's biopsies. Otherwise, another day, another dollar, same ol, same ol. I wanna retire!

Richard --- Does your express van have the gas or diesel engine in it ?? I use to run the diesels but now run the gas. My experience has shown that the gas engines last just as long as the diesels. The cost less up front and the fuel is cheaper. The all wheel drive would be a real bonus with your weather. The rear wheel drive vans suck in snow and ice.

Thanks Rick I run 2 sets of tires Michelin snows and a set of regular tires . My mgr says again he does not really want to replace it as it has been a trouble free vehicle not unlike some of the other ones we have. Our little transit connect some are on their 3rd transmissions .

John my van has the optional 5.3 gas engine , it has been very reliable . I was willing to drive it longer but someone thinks that it cheaper to lease a new vehicle as opposed to running the vehicle into the 5th or 6 yrs and starting to cost them money ..we replaced the brake pads once from original and last March we got our 2nd set of snow tires . Now my plan at the end of April was to take the snows off and get a new set of regular tires because the originals are done now . My supervisor said today I can see you having to stay at a hotel some nights , costing the company some money . I agreed on that comment . The full size transit in Europe is available in all wheel drive so maybe they will make it available in the future. It is a possibility that if it does come available that they might swap mine out. Oh well it won't be here for a couple months but the first thing that happens to it when I get it is go and get snow tires .
