On a serious note, what's the average for brake useage? My car has 32k on it and the brakes have started squeaking for a second when I apply pressure. Don't know if it's just the Brembo's, brakes are getting low, or Hemp has cursed me for making fun of his monkey toe. I haven't used them excessively. Wondering what the average lifespan of them would be. These are the OEM ones.

Mine won't last that long even. There is a 1/4 mile stretch leading up to where I work, but I have to stand on the brakes to get slowed down in time for the parking lot. I spend so much time cleaning brake dust off my wheels I'm considering switching to ceramics JUST to save me cleaning time.

I've heard that the Hawk street performance pads are pretty good and don't dust near as much as the stockers. These are the regular pads, not the ceramic ones. I'm not keen on Ceramic pads since they sacrifice braking for less dust.

I use them and think they don't have as much dust as the stockers.

The drag strip is like sniffing glue, it's cheap, it's a decent buzz, it doesn't last long and they are all the same. Road racing is like China White Heroin, the buzz is stronger, the high lasts for hours, it's extremely addictive and they are all different. |

I use the Carbotech Bobcats on the street. Less dust and excellent stopping power. The Corvette guys like them too. There are threads on it in the Brake Section.
I swap pads so often I have it down to a science. I can have it done in less than a half hour. I swap pads and tires every time I head to the road course. T.

Stop better than stock IMHO
No noise unless you don't bed them good or you drive like an old lady. I didn't bed my first set in good and it made a little squeal at low speed stopping. This set no noise but I bedded the hell out of them.
