So Phil when you go in to pick your car up make sure they explain everything to you in plain ENGLISH so you can tell us what they say...lol. then let them know that you dont even have tools to take your hood off and the only place the car has been since delivery is the dealership. unless someone swapped your hood at the rally, afterall we cant find that mystery spot anymore

Yes vinyl, but I'm not aware of other options.

I can put it on an 10 x 5 sheet of stainless steel if you want, but it's going to be kind of heavy and hard to transport. lmao

You know - I was thinking about that - my entire hood is confusing the heck out of me - this alignment issue - and that mark that was CLEARLY there and a few of us could see it that magically disappeared at about the same time the alignment issue started - VERY strange!

They just called me to say they have changed the rear diff fluid to cure the groan/grind noise I had - but that to follow the TSB properly they need to get it up to freeway speeds for 10 miles, then let it cool down, then do 5 figure of 8's, 5 full lock left circles and 5 full lock right circles.

They didn't want to do it without asking my permission to drive the car first though - so that's actually pretty reassuring - I'm impressed with them so far

sounds like they are doing things right, although id have to be there for the freeway run. just to make sure its not at 100mph+ yes very strange indeed...maybe the spot sank into the hood causing it to drop the front of the hood...lol

Bah...let them have some fun. As long as they aren't burning the rubber off the tires let them drag it. LOL

I told my painter if he wrecks my car, make sure it's a total loss.
