july 10-11- went to Curtis lumber show- wow what a crowd- 435 cars- took a few pix. had fun - the pix of redlines car- 850 hp-white with blue trim was a sema 1st place national winner at Las Vegas- it placed 3rd in this show behind a Pontiac Solstice-(unmodified ). oh well

Hi Andy went to the Dealer tonight and he wants to put on a small show from noon to 3...here's the info if you want to update your list:

I have arranged a little get together before the RickFest with the Local GM Dealer in Delson (3 Minutes from my house). They heard that I was going to have around 25 Camaros coming down for the RickFest and they decide to do a little event at their location to introduce the new Camaros & other GM lineup. They would love to have our Camaros there. They will be opening up the Dealership from Noon to 3PM on Saturday. It is a last minute event that they want to try out before their Big Renovation Project (New Chevrolet Building). Next year they will have a Bigger event.. The Showroom will be open but will not have any GM Apparels for sale this year. They will advertise this in the local papers. Also they will have a small BBQ set up for us.
So hopefully most of you guys can make it for noon approx.

Howard Tanner (Redline Motorsports) spoke of being interested in holding a free tech seminar on products and services available from his shop to tune our Camaros for better performance.
The date is to be determined. Preferably not during a major show.
Any one interested in attending please post on here.

And I would like to expand on it and comment. Upstate C5 members that know me most likely are aware that I’m interested in the 427 Camaro motor conversions so I’ve been trying to pay attention to the mods Redline(In Schenectady/Rotterdam, NY) has been performing. Motor swaps are just one service they offer. I’ve seen quite a few mods they have made to the base LS3 that comes stock with the camaro, so I’m sure this would be a big topic of discussion that many Upstate C5 members would be interested in. Redline is doing this to promote their business, but there is no obligation to buy anything by attending this event, and it’s free. Regardless of what clubs you belong to or don’t belong to, this invite is open to everyone. The idea here is to get current & future camaro owners together so we can learn more about mods available for the cars. Even if you’re not considering any mods right now, you might be in the future so this could be time well spent. If this interests any Upstate C5 members, please post your thoughts so we can see what kind of interest there is in this.

Busy week for the C5 gang. Congrats to the newlyweds! Keiht & Joan - thanks for posting the Curtis Lumber pics; we had a commitment and couldn't go. I gotta hook up with whoever has the Joker car. Sweet!
Now I gotta go back and crawl through all those posts, etc. about upcoming shows...
