Call Voss Chevy in Centerville or Lang Chevy, where I ordered my car.
Sorry I hate to do this to you but I think your dealer is giving you when the dealer truly gets allocation and your car is assigned that spot you go to 2000. All of us that ordered back in October sat at 1100 for at least 5 months before they started producting them. Once my dealer told me my order was picked up to get produced I sat at 2000 for 2 weeks.

Fenwick - Please let us know next time you will be at the Friday Beavercreek K-Mart or Tuesday West Chester cruise-ins. I'd like to meet you. I appreciate your positive postings here and gminsidenews.

bartking - What Columbus crusie-ins do you recommend? If you get a group of Columbus area Camaro's together, let me know and I'll see if I can drive up.

EarliestMemory - I don't think I'll make it to Kilkare tonight but some night I like to get over there and watch some Camaro's on the track. Good luck!

Cam10RS - I don't know if anyone here can accurately answer your questions. The spastic squirrel website lists 812 Camaros for Ohio dealers. I would guess most of those 812 have been delivered or will be soon.

Actually I don't know if we have any weekly cruise-ins. I guess I have to google for one. The one I go to is at Jack Maxton chevy but it's only a chevy show. the next and last one for the year is August 21st. I usually get there at about 7pm and awards and such are given out starting at 9pm. I was the only 2010 camaro in the June show and one of 6 in the July show. Weird we had 2 IOM, 2 RY, and 2 RJT. I think since I was the only 2010 in June I got an award for my car.

Careful.... they don't need to put you at 0500. You can hang out at 1100 as long as you need. If they put you at 0500 and lets say... heaven forbid... forget, you won't get picked up when they get the next allocation. Since it s all automatic, you should be at 1100 from the day you get your workbench number.

Also, they say you got picked up and are now 1100, thats not true either, 2000 is when you "get picked up". I'd ask some more questions!

I had a workbench number and was at 0500. How can that be if like you said, you are issued a WB# when you reach 1100? This is all confusing. Also didn't I read that dealers get their allocations on Thursdays?

I did ask him if there was anyone ahead of me on a waiting list for allocations. He did not answer. What he told me was what I quoted in previous post. I'm not sure what to ask him. Any suggestions? I don't want to rock our relationship since it's only been a week since we ordered one.

thanks.

Its odd you have a WB number but the dealer is holding. Never heard of that...

I was told they were based on tuesday per month but the system updates (picks up) Thursdays. An allocation month runs the 15th through the 15th, not a calendar month. So whatever tuesdays fall between the 15th and the 15th is when allocations are divided up but yes, they are accepted on Thursdays, this is how it was explained to me by the Inventory Manager and he has been right on with dates for my order so far.

I think he's giving me BS too. That won't fly with me because I have the number of the manager. I'll call him directly if I have to. I prefer to ask questions via email because I have proof of the conversation

I want to thank you and the others for your replies. You have been so helpful!

Ok, I fired off another email to my dealership and I haven't gotten a response after 1.5 hours. I'm sure he's thinking "Oh sh*t, she's on to us." I told him that I fully understand what code 1100 means (waiting on allocation) and when an allocation is filled, the order gets moved to 2000. So I asked him which is it? Is my car waiting for allocation? Or has GM accepted my order. And if its' the latter, why is my order not at 2000? If I'm waiting on allocation, why did you say I had one? And why haven't you answered my question as to how many people are ahead of me waiting on an allocation, if at all? I also told him I would be having a second party checking my order status.

I don't want to be a bitch about this but I hate car salesmen. I've done this too many times and I have no patience for liars.

Question

Yep. I agree with you. My dealer was not up right about the way the system works. Told me the day i ordered it that it would be about 6 to 8 weeks. More like 6 to 8 weeks to get out of 1100 status, maybe. I am thinking about switching dealer even if i have to wait longer. Why give my money to someone that is not up front about the system.
I am 1100 and at 6 weeks, 2days.:(
