I can't believe I just saw this thread. I just spent 2 hours readin the 10 pages of it. this is sad. I agree with most, how can GM not offer any shade of Blue? Doesnt seem like good marketing to me.

However IBM is a color you have to see in person to appreciate. Many have never seen it prior to ordering thier cars. It wasn't an option for me until I saw it in person. I was on schedule for a CGM.

If GM continues to listen, which I feel they do a great job of, we will have another blue probably similar to IBM. Think 4th gen NBM, very similar. They know what looks good on this car and what enthusiasts want, just have to comprimise with the other cars made in the same plant. Have faith.

I work over here in Royston GA, and Tri County Chevy has two IBMs both V6 one just like yours and one is a vert. I got min at Rick Hendrick in Duluth because they wouldn't budge on prices there in Royston, plus when I bought my IBM they didn't have any.

My local dealer has had an IBM 2SS/RS Auto on the lot since August. Many cars have come and gone...but not the IBM. So as much as everyone (in this topic anyway) loves blue...I wouldn't say it's the biggest seller. Just based on what I see when I'm there, IOM and Black seem to move the fastest.

Well my order for an IBM 2LT/RS went to 3300 so I should see it in a few weeks. I can't wait.

I'm just glad that I found mine when I did. It's exactly the way I had built it on line and I love this color it's alot like the '98 firebird that I had. Depending on the light you can see differant shades of blue from turqoise to purple and at night in low light it looks black.

Speaking of, I was walking around looking on the local dealers lot as they changed my oil. There was only 1 blue chevy on the lot including cars, suvs, pickups and trucks.
So it seems gm does not do much blue?

IBM is a unique color, i was sold on it before i even saw it. Sometimes it look dark blue, sometimes a light blue, from a distance black etc.

I like the color, it's very similar to the midnight blue metallic on my Silverado. But it's time for something different...for me anyway.
