Maybe people just need to be reminded what $75,000 buys.

Must be a lot of people feeling threatened. I don't want to consider the alternative (morons) because then I'd be convinced all is totally lost for our once-great republic.

Sigh...

"Known Sanctioned Events" - I'm still trying to come to grips with that one...

Known by who?
Sanctioned by who?
Events hosted where and by who?
Those three words strung together allow for only about a billion possible meanings.

Ok *007 now I'm just tasering you for sport :-)

Now that I have this all off my chest, I 'll leave you all be for a day or two lol!

PS- I love that yellow 'Vette in your avatar!
Yeah, I've never been a fan of yellow, however that yellow just looks perfect on the C7.

"This Z/28 was not created for the "typical" Camaro guy....."

It should have been.

A video of someone else with better driving skills, and on a track that 99.99% of the buyers will never race on?

Wow you mean you cannot extrapolate that video into realizing the capabilities that the Z/28 has in it? Your post just proves you are not the target buyer for it.

You guys are blowing this out of proportion. It's going to be a very low volume car, and that alone will drive its sales. The End. If they wanted to build a Z/28 for us commoners, they'd have put the LT1 in it and priced it between an SS and ZL1. Instead they'll make a few bucks off the exclusivity crowd and save the LT1 for next gen.

This Camaro is ready to rip. As watching the video hitting 150+ then braking to 60-90ish and in the rain ripping hard 155-159 showing this Camaro is turnkey ready to run the tracks!

I'd sure invest in a Z/28 if a spare $75k was in my dresser. We'll see!

Actually I am closer to the target buyer then you might think. Starting with the ZL1 when first came out, I went looking for one, but found limited supplies and most dealers to be uncooperative (as in, 'we have something special here and you the buyer will have to work extra hard to get it'). So I bought a SLP ZL600. It was a good car, handled great, and had a lot of power.

Pricing and options, Chevrolet was on the right track with the 1LE and the ZL1. But they are pushing things too far with this price and car. I don't see where they went anywhere cutting edge with this, but that will not deter people from buying them quickly, and at the price Chevrolet/Dealers want them to pay.

Watching the video is OK, but I guess it doesn't 'do it' for me like it does for others. A car has to achieve a lot more then just lap times on the 'ring before before I commit to buying it that kind of cash.

This has been great robust discussion. Whats great about how they priced this unit is when you fork out the money for it you won't wheel into a parking lot and see 10 other ones just like it. Honestly the higher price makes this car more attractive. The more I hear guys complain they can't afford it drives me to get my order in.

Not cutting edge?
How many other cars in the Camaro's category (or any car for $75K, or any car for that matter) have 15" Carbon Ceramic Brakes? DSSV Shocks? A Dry-Sump system? 305's on all 4 corners? Transmission & Brake cooling?

I'd say pretty cutting-edge!

That is C7 high praise at $57K.
