I was wondering if anyone is coming from the Lakeland, GA or Nashville, GA area? I don't know if we want to go to Valdosta and then to Cecil, since Cecil is only 20 minutes from my house. But we are thinking of finding a good spot on the side of the road to get some good pics and video of the caravan as it goes by.

Is anybody on here from my area? I know there are a lot of Camaros around here, but don't know if they are playing with us on here....

would love an answer back...PM me if you are in this area.

update to I-75 caravan... map:

Here is a map of the travel details from Cinci to Valdosta. (Sorry Cyn, I missed your PM and already had this done). The travel times are per Google. I have NO INTENTIONS on this being a Gumball Rally and we need to keep close to the posted limit but it is my experience that Google is usually off a bit and you can save some time. With that said I have posted the locations and times below the map. I also updated post #2 with all the deatails but its getting rather long and hard to take it all in!

LOCATION A: Cinci rest area. Arrive as close to 3:30 as you can. Traffic through Cinci SUCKS! I will be there as soon as I can. We will leave as soon as everyone is accounted for. Lets shoot for 4:00 departure.

LOCATION B: Optional fuel stop in Berea, KY. Travel time is 1:30 from the rest area so we should be in and out of there by 6:00pm.

LOCATION C: Best Western in Cedal Bluff (Knoxville). Travel time from Berea to Cedar Bluff is 2:15. We should arrive at the hotel about 8:15. We will NEED to leave NO LATER THAN 6:00am. Sooner is OK!

LOCATION D: TN/GA Welcome center. Travel time from the hotel to the welcome center is 1:45. This will be a QUICK stop... take a quick break and be back on the road by 8:00 am.

LOCTATION E: MTI. Travel time from the welcome center to MTI is 1:30. We will get here ASAP and stay until about 10:00.

LOCATION F: Summit Racing. Travel time from MTI to Summit is 1:15 (through Atlanta ) We will get here ASAP and stay until about 12:30. Get lunch here!

LOCATION G: Travel time from Summit to Valdosta is 3:30. Arrive in Valdosta around 4:00 is all goes well.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask! See you in 2 weeks!

Perhaps this is a silly question but..... have we come up with names for each of the major caravan groups? I mean besides the "jrhaus76 caravan" (not that this name isn't cool or anything. For example, I suggested (and it seems to have stuck) that our little group be called the "ACC" = "All Canuck Caravan"

Ours would likely be the I-75 corridor caravan... seems fitting since its one road from Canada to Valdosta.

I am up for other suggestions...

Good idea, using interstate numbers, late-comers can decide which interstae group is closest to them. Or by major cities you'll pass thru.

JR, mile markers would be helpful for your stop locations... And, what is MTI?

"ACC" I love it! Wish I could hook up with your caravan, but I am coming up from the south of Valdosta. I have been told there is always a couple of dozen Maro's at the Orlando Airpot sounds like it will be all good when I get there.

Some of you will come through Eufaula(That's where I am). So I was thinking maybe we could meet somehwere here(will post at the bottom of this post) then head over to Valdosta.

If you are going to be coming through Eufaula on the way over there we could meet at the Winn Dixie Parking lot here?

It's going to take almost 3 hours to get there from here, and it's 2-lane all the way to Tifton, then that's where we will hit I-75, and that's 4-lane.

ALL TIMES BELOW ARE CST

Friday Morning

LOCATION A: Winn-Dixie Parking lot Eufaula. Meet up between 9:45-10:00A.M. As soon as we get everyone acounted for we will depart. We need to leave no later than 10:30 A.M.

LOCATION B: Tifton, GA. We should arrive there by about 12:30 P.M. There is a BP Gas station and some others right here(this is the exit we will be usuing to get on I-75). I know everybody will not need gas but some may want to get a little snack for the remaining drive. We will spend about 30 minutes here. We need to depart from here no later than 1:15 P.M.

LOCATION C: Exit 16 in Valdosta. We should arrive here around 2:00 P.M. This exit is right where the road is that goes to the host hotel. (The rest of you that aren't in the host hotel I will have directions for you at the meet, just let me know if you need them.)

Again the times above are in CST. So acctually that puts us there by 3:00 P.M EST. Which is right on time for Hotel Check In.

So if you are coming thru Eufaula please post here so I can get a head count of whose going.

The picture below is the way we will be going. This is the fastest way I know.
The next post will have the sign-up list.

I will send out a PM sometime this week to everybody in the group, to just give you a reminder, and send you the Schedule one more time so you will not forget.

The key to this is to stay on time.
Thanks,
RJT
Just a heads up for anybody in here that would like to join us. to sign up for our group go here: http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=75185

Thanks,
RJT
