Ummm...heck yea!!! I'm ready for more than the 1/8 mile track...that's all we have around here. (See the "official" 1/8th mile thread) I will probably head to the track in Montgomery before April though. Can't wait that long. LOL

Hey Speed I may got with a 15,16,17 x12 for the rear at the track..what do you think?

I know Steve at SJM can make you any of those. I had PM'd him a while back and he says he has 17's (x12) that will fit over the factory Brembo's. Smaller than that and you would have to convert to smaller brakes like the 12.19 Wilwoods. Are you keeping the factory brakes ?

Yes...I'm in serious need of some drag radials. I got that 1/8th mile time of 8.45 spinning about the first 15-20 ft (according to spectators--questionable reliability at best...LOL) I'll probably run up to Montgomery and get some stock baseline times, then I'll start my mods. Planning on having at least a tune, CAI, and exhaust by the time I get to Camaro Fest.

And hey....this is the South...we're all a little crazy down here....I think it's the heat...........

The fronts are so much up to your personal preference. You don't want to run 3-1/2 skinnys on the street since the car will handle like crap in turns. You can still get really light rims in the 6 - 8" range.

The engine will be similar. That is actually a Gen 1 motor. The SST is an LSX. The IR intake in the album is the one designed for the new engine. But the SS headers, asymetrical billet turbos, wastegates and BOV's are the same. Plus the octane on demand is pretty cool too.

You are definitely in the right place. You have 1/4 mile blood running through your veins...
One other thing to think about (that is the best bang for the buck after the tires) are the rearend bushings and mounts. It will really help your car hook better. Just a thought...

I definitely want to go!!!! But it DOES look like the rain is coming at about noon. I'm crazy busy right now too. I have 8 drive by appraisals to do before Monday, a house to clean before Thanksgiving, and I'm seriously considering just throwing it all to hell and heading up there.
