It looks like I may not be able to go to Bisbee after all. Dang it...

The AZ region of National Auto Sport Association (http://www.nasaaz.com/schedule/) frequently has events at Firebird. I may try to make another one up there in the spring.

After I finally installed a CAI intake and catch can, the mod bug has been infectious. Cam, etc will probably go in this winter and a Pfadt suspension shortly after the new year. Been doing a lot of travel and the car has just been getting neglected. Time to reward it with some goodies. Why save the OT money when interest rates are in the toilet...

Sean,

Thanks for the link. There's something I really like about those base steelies. They remind me of the rallye wheels of the first and second gen Camaros, which I always though looked nice.

I think painting them in a metallic titanium/pewter or silver along with the chrome or polished beauty ring would really look great.

I think I'm the only guy on here who wants 18's on his SS.

Can't make it to the Bisbee show because I'm going to the UA/Stanford game Saturday.

I'll be in Phoenix on the 23rd so I can't go to the Redline show.

Let's see, where else can't I go?

Steve,

I'll trade you those for a stock SS exhaust in perfect condition!
I was the one interested...

Troy had mentoined them at breakfast last week. Did your car get repaired? How'd it turn out?

I want to go to that game too, even if it will be a beating

The Camaro is back in the shop. I picked up the parts yesterday, then went to get the car this morning.

They actually tried to give the car back to me with the rear bumper misaligned by a good half inch. There was still the giant gap between the bumper and the hood. Then the dealer rep was trying to say that the gap was normal until I offered to walk him over to a brand new one. The black caps on either side of the trunk were also loose. They are refusing to repair them saying they must have been like that (um, between the collision and warranty, it should be covered).

So yeah, I refused to take it back and they will (supposedly) have it fixed early next week. Did I mention that they were supposed to pick me up this morning but didn't even bother to call until 90 minutes AFTER the scheduled pickup time?

Just a heads up the v6 18" rims won't fit over the brembos. You would have to down grade to a v6 brake setup.

That's what I'm thinking as well. If I do this, I'll keep all the parts for now (the Brembo calipers, pads, etc) and swap 'em till something comes up that perhaps would accept the bigger brakes.

I just hate these 20" wheels. Hate 'em. I want them off my car.

What dealer was this? I'm still looking for a decent one in SE AZ. None here so I'm forced to go to Tucson or further.
