Yea pretty much . If you don't take it in and summtin would happen . They would just say well told you so , And free in the clear . I won't take it in for this . I'm 6ft and don't come close to ignition switch . Plus it's fun playing with the key like a switch blade

I just checked mine and even if I pull my legs up to stretch while I have the cruise on there is plenty of room.

Mine stays the way it is unless they drag me in at gunpoint or pay me a couple of G's for inconvenience.

So whats going to happen? The car shuts off on you.

So you put it in neutral and restart it and try not to be so clumsy the next time.

The company will change the Camaro key to a standard design from one in which the key is concealed in the FOB and is opened by pushing a button. The change will make the ignition key and FOB independent of each other, so that inadvertent contact with the FOB won’t move the key from the “run” position. There are 464,712 Camaros from the 2010-2014 model years in the U.S. included in the recall. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total recall population is 511,528.
Separately, GM also announced two safety recalls and one non-compliance recall involving a total of 65,121 cars in the U.S. all three of which were reported to the NHTSA on Wednesday, June 11, 2014. Including Canada, Mexico and exports, the total recall population is 69,839.
In all cases, customers will receive letters from GM letting them know when they can bring their vehicles into a dealership, where the recall repairs will be performed free of charge and courtesy transportation would be provided as needed.

2014 CAMARO IGNITION SWITCH RECALL

Looks like the 2014 Camaro may have a recall on it for an ignition switch . I wonder if mine is one of them ? It should have been push to start to begin with. My knee comes no where near the key any way .

So what if you decide to hang fifteen other keys off your new key?

I am sure it/they will hang closer to your leg.

So when does a line get drawn between an unsafe vehicle and customer responsibility?

Send a message via Skype™ to benji276289
They just break the key out of the FOB and hand it back to you.

I work for a GM dealer and can tell you that the press always finds out before the dealers do. I've always though that was BS because when someone calls we look bad because we don't know anything about it. I ran my vin# this morning and no open campaigns at this time. I know it's come though..

dont think of it as a downgrade, think of it as "retro"
