I am super happy they are getting theirs, but approximately 1.2% of the first 2200 are on the list versus 36% of the cars over VIN 2200. i.e. Your chance of getting a car with a VIN over 2200 is 30 TIMES greater.

Patiently hoping the low VIN count rockets after the May 6th date.
However, if you calculated back in the number of already delivered vehicles with vin# between 3000 and 5000 then applied the above logic to cars with vin ranging3000 to 6800 you would actually have over a 54.129 times better chance at getting a car. Hmmmmm. What would happen statistically if a member of the 3000 to 6800 group ordered after 3-16-09. He would have a 100% better chance at getting his car.....Wrong!

Thanks heinz.

Not arguing. Which ever way make you feel good. heinz said the tracking not valid in US which I did not know. The proof is in who is actually receiving their cars.

Avol,
Your car left N. Platte, NE at 9:50 AM this morning. Seems like it made good progress in the last 24 hours.

Husker,
Your car was delivered to a switching yard just outside of St. Louis (Valley Junction, IL) at 8:27 AM this morning.
Your car may sit there a while. The train your car came in on will be taken apart and new trains will be built up for the different destinations. My Colorado sat in this yard for about a week. The yard is run by Alton & Southern.

On the Railroad tracking excel spreadsheet I see a lot of terms that dont really say what it really means. Is there a log of these terms all in one place so that we would be able to figure out what is going on. Hear is some examples of the terms I am referring to:
Departure
Arrive In Transit
Junction Recieved
Hold or Delayed
Release from Customer
Placed Actual
Bad Order Release
Arrive Destination
Pulled from customer
Placed Construct
Storage

Ok I think that about covered it. I know that each of these has been answered but it is all over the thread and it would be so very helpful to have it all in one place. Thanks so much to the guys making this thread work so very well.

I have added some explanations on my first post in this thread to help you all out. Thanks for all the kind words!

Thank you very much for the update. I can only hope it gets switched out soon and sent to Fairfax, Ks. I talked with my dealer yesterday and he thought iit might be delivered this week to Lincoln, NE. I sure hope so as it would be nice to drive it next weekend.

Thanks again for the update. I really appreciate it.

[QUOTE=HuJass;453563]Avol,

So.... now the ETA just changed from 5/7 to 5/10 ??? crap its in Wyoming..... been sitting since 3pm yesterday...

maybe I can go pick it up.. LOL...

whats so sad......

MY dad was really exxcited about the car.. almost as excited as me.. so excited that they drove to the dealers to see the showroom modelcar.. he loved it, but demanded to be the first destination after she arrives!... My dad's birthday (#82) would of been Saturday the 9th, so he was hoping I'd get the car on his birthday........... My dad had a heart attack Sat. Morn, and he passed away....... and now he is never gonna see the camaro...

everyone I have spoken to asks if he got a ride in it :( he bragged to everyone.... Yesdterday the family talked that hopefully it could get here and we could drive it to the funeral.... :( cause he would get a kick out of that...

and now it is sitting in Wyoming.... so we cant even do that... Looks like her maiden voyage will be to the Cemetary, after the fact... dang if they could of been a week or so earlier..... ..

(didnt want to hijack).......so lets get back on topic...

why would they make it sit now... it already sat so long.... Its been on the rails since 4/27.....

So I got my dealer to call the DBC this morning - my Baby is still in Canada, just not at the plant anymore... it's in Whitby, having the stripes put on it. Ugh. It hasn't even made it into the US yet.

From an internal source, I know my baby left the plant on 4/22, how long can it take to get to Whitby (right down the road) and have the stripes applied? I watched the guy do it, to the IOM the dealership has in the showroom. I think it took him 10 minutes all together, start to finish. WTF???

AVOL2 - sincerest condolences on your loss. Every one has different beliefs, but I think your Dad will be seeing you and your Camaro every time you drive it, if he's not riding shotgun.
