THIS is the answer for me -- and its portable -- if I want 12 volt action, I can get that too! But, that is @ a later date -- in a month or so... -Don

Still trying to get the 2 systems ready for emissions;
Evap System and EGR/VVT System. I'm using the Torque app with a Bluetooth OBD II adapter. I have the Emissions Readiness s/DTC and Current Drive Cycle Status as one of the pages. Here is what I've found: If the Current Drive Cycle Status for Evaporative System And EGR System goto not avail during the drive, that means conditions are not set to evaluate them. So, that means, when I start the drive cycle, I WANT those available -- I'm experimenting with what will keep them active -- so far, driving in the city and then highway is NOT the answer (as well as the temps sometimes dip below 40* so that may also have something to do with it...). I'm hoping to find the combo -- A drive cycle needs 8 hours in between so that really sucks... Hopefully, I'll find the correct combo... -Don

Don, you can get the EVAP to go ready by starting it up first thing in the morning and letting it run for 10-15 minutes. Don't touch the gas or anything like that and it will usually go ready. Just an option to try. Good luck!

Tried this. No joy. I noticed during the 'current' drive cycle, the evap test last 10 minutes and then goes 'not avail' so I'm going to try just the evap drive process only during that time...
I just think its too cold for these to run (I believe it needs to be > 40* IAT)... We'll see! -Don

Thanks and much appreciated!
The kit is fantastic. Runs awesome. When the new BTR cam gets here, I'll get that in and going! -Don

FINALLY it warmed up enough for the test to complete. When it says between 40 and 95* ambient, it means it and that includes the temp driving too. Also said 10 days or more...
So, today was first time in a while its been > 50 (when driving, the temp went below 40 (39.2) and the test would shut off -- grrr). So today, > 50, drove it 10 minutes (10 days since the emissions test) and bingo - it worked. DOES NOT matter how many miles, just how many cold cycle starts in about 10 days and you let it warm up 2 minutes, and then drive it to the highway... I did a lot of different ways, but today, the stars aligned and the test finally finished (the EVAP monitors). I used the Torque Android App and OBD Bluetooth adapter and waited until the Emissions/DTC showed complete with no DTCs... SO I'm Texas Legal! Off to get the tags. Total days 19. Total drive cycles 25 includes all cold starts 8 hours or more. Total 815 miles of driving after reconnecting the battery.. -Don

You are probably aware of the changes in Texas this year..... one tag. Just incase you are not here it is. http://twostepsonesticker.com/
Some scenarios allow car to wait till 2016 to be inspected. I see that you have yours ready to pass now so congrats.... thanks to you im emailing Andy about the LSA conversion. Now I need to go back and read all of this cool thread

Thanks! I was aware as of March 1st, one sticker! HOWEVER, the folks @ the county office said some 'officers' may not be aware of it so I needed to keep my 'inspection' confirmation with me -- just in case -- How 'bout that!
You'll LOVE the LSA conversion. Even though I'm going to upgrade my cam, the SS1 has really broken in nicely, the separation angle is really the issue (112). If it was 114 or so, it might be ok, but I think the lift would be part of the issue. I absolutely love the ADM/LSA kit -- I get $0 for saying that. The factory fit and looks are killer to me -- plus if I REALLY wanted to, I could upgrade to the Heartbeat. For me, the fact the LSA Supercharger was designed for long term use, I don't expect to see any issues (since the coupler was replaced when it was first installed -- remember, mine was a 'prototype' and ADM replaced the coupler right away). Now, the intercooler pump life is 10,000 hours so it will eventually need to be replace. With GM possibly NOT making a ZL1 until '17 or '18, those of us with SS (LS3 or L99) have a GREAT opportunity to get one of the best features of the ZL1 -- the Supercharger in a range that is very cost effective And if you're lucky (like I was) get some ZL1 brakes! -Don

Now that this is over, I have the ZL1 trunk/spoiler to do as soon as it comes in and then, the cam when time allows. Right now, its running pretty good (since its warmed up) and I'll do that when the weather is a bit more 'normal' here ;o)...
Now, to drive this for 'fun' again ;o) -Don
